You can cycle one sensor at a time. Everything should be powered up - lights on. No need to run engine.

Reading all this makes me think twice about mine. Had a buddy tell me the other day, "damn, your headlights sure don't project out very far." Never really thought twice about it. I'll have to take a closer look at them.

Thanks Glyn, that totally worked. I just did the front sensor and I did it while the lights were off, since I did it before you were able to reply.
One thing I did notice, is that there is a mark/groove on the bottom of the torsion bar to indicate where to attach the sensor's bracket. However, it looked like it may have been mounted incorrectly on mine. The document seems to make no mention of it, so for those that are going to remove and reattach theirs, be sure to mount it at this mark.

Good news! on reflection - yes - as long as the microprocessor is powered you should be fine setting the sensor. Only need headlights on for the Star lightbox for calibration.
Indeed there is a marker on the torsion bar.

If you have Bix they should project a long way. Best lights I've had on a car since my old Alfa days with large Carello rally spots mounted up front along with the quad lights.

Well then there might be an issue. Would swapping bulbs affect the projection distance? I swapped to Morimoto 6k D2S bulbs a bit ago.

Hey Glyn could you tell me if what is pictured is the correct orientation of the rear auto leveling sensor? IE downwards and towards the center of the car?
Would you happen to have the same documentation for the rear that you posted for the front sensor?
I've been trying to figure out why my BIX are pointed downwards. So far I've figured out that the front sensor was mounted incorrectly. (It was facing backwards and the document you posted shows it facing forwards)
I moved the front sensor through its whole range of motion with the system on and correctly installed it facing forwards. The problem now is that only the passenger headlight auto levels, the driver headlight continues to aim downwards (The adjustment screw is maxed out). Could the rear sensor be causing the issue with the driver headlight?
