Help with ICE upgrade ?
I need some more bass so to start of with i need an amp and sub, the problm being i have no idea where 2 mount the amp or sub, and wheather i would need 2 take out the current crappy sub ?
how have people placed and set up their amps and subs? i was thinking about just disconecting the current sub and placing a 12" sub in a box in the boot with the amp tucked away somewhere in the boot too? is this a good setup,? and is it gonna be expensive 2 install it as i wouldnt know how 2 do it myself ?
Any help would be great?
whats an ICE upgrade?

In this context, it usually refers to In Car Entertainment.

A prefabbed box, 12" sub and amp should go a long way toward solving your bass problem. The only downside to that setup is loss of truck space.

PS: You may have heard of another term/concept invented by Gibson in the same novel - cyberspace.

Anyways, I think you should get new speakers all around. Amp them all and get a sub. A single 12" is good and will give good bass. I recommend JL Audio sub, MB Quart interiors.
My current setup is:
Clarion touch screen 7" LCD w/DVD/CD/MP3 player
MB Quart DSD components in front
MB Quart DSK coaxles in rear
1 12" W3 JL Audio DVC sub
Rockford Fosgate Power 550X 4 channel amp for interiors
Rockford Fosgate Power 450S 2 channel amp for sub
Rockford Rosgate Digital Cap
Amps and cap are on a custom amp rack in trunk mounted next to subwoofer.
I was just wondering if it's just me, or does anyone really care where the word came from?.
I believe he asked for advice about in car installations..
