Problem with all weather mats?

Problem with all weather mats?
I have the oyster color interior and I use generic all weather mats in the winter. I removed the mats the other day to vacuum and was shocked to see big yellow stains on the carpet under the mats. There was some condensation on the underside of the mat and I'm sure this caused the staining. There are no leaks in the mat. I think the moisture just comes from the air trapped under.
Lucky for me the stains come out with carpet cleaner and elbow grease.
I know a lot of folks here use all weather mats. Has this happened to anyone? My only solution so far is to sacrifice the factory mats by putting the all weather mats on top of them.

i just went ahead and kept the carpet mats on cuz i figure i could just spend $80 whenever I wanted new clean mats and since the all weather mats from m-b go for $70 and they're black and look odd with the oyster interior i didn't get them.

I agree with you CANTOEVO.
That is what the floor mat (I mean carpet one) for...
If it gets dirt and cannot be cleaned, I will replace with new carpet mat. Looks better and feels better too. If possible, I will get the evolution floor mat.

I've used WeatherTech rubber mats in many cars and I've never had a staining problem like you've described. By the way, they're about $80 for front and rear, and they're also available in black, tan and gray. I've got the tan ones in my java interior. A great product, IMO! (If only the black ones didn't have than darned red stripe 
).

I have the weathertech mats as well, and I personally don't mind the red stripe. Before I bought them I was nervous about how the red stripe would blend in with the rest of the car, but it's really not noticeable.

I have the MB all weather mats and have not had any staining.
I think that washing the all weather mats keeps the car feeling cleaner,rather than the gradual brown color the factory mats turn. I also don't think the all weather mats look out of place, but give the light interior a more durable look.

Perhaps I'm getting what I paid for then. I got these BJ's Wholesale specials for $15.
Maybe they use some sort of cheap rubber that reacts badly with the moisture/carpet.
What's even stranger: Using carpet cleaner and a brush, the stains wouldn't budge. So I left the mats outside and let the car sit overnight so at least the carpet cleaner would dry. To my surprise, the stains were gone in the morning.
This happened last winter too but I thought it was a fluke thing like some of the dirty salt water spilled over the edge of the mat and got under.
