I have the sedan and think the coupe looks kind of odd, just wondering...

Looks are pretty subjective.
I think they are both very good looking.
I think the sedan looks great, front to back, versus just about any car on the road.
The Hatch looks as good as a Hatchback can look. There is some awkwardness in the back, but that is hard to avoid with a Hatchback and I think MB did about as good a job as could be done.

I give the upper hand to the sedan.
As for the coupe, the only area I'd try to change is the rear quarter area. From some angles it bulges out too much.... maybe it was designed to accomodate wide rear wheels from the start? It looks a lot better with staggered wheels.

I love my coupe but think the sedan is outstanding, I would love to own a C32

I like them both for different reasons. I like the way that the sedan looks in comparison to the pre 2001 C class. I think the lines are much nicer, and it "looks" more aerodynamic. I think it bears a closer resemblense to the S class than before (I'm not saying that anyone would get them confused).

For the coupe, I really like the wedge shape of it. I think it gives it a realy "sporty" look. Add the 17" (or larger) tires, and it looks even better. However, I agree that the rear end could use a little more attention. I still think it "looks" much better than the BMW 318ti hatchback.

Lots of people are critical of the rear quarter of the C230. Frankly I like the entire look. It looks more angular and aggressive, plus I don't feel like going in the sedan direction right now. C'mon C230 owners stand up for your cars.

well, 2 different type of cars. the sedan is one of the best looking 4 door cars i've seen. i like the peanut headlights. but, i'm not at all interested in sedans - C, S or E class.

i like the CL - to me, the best looking merc available. and i like the new SL.

i love my coupé and i think the tail end looks eccentric and its growing on me.

Well, I drive the C320 Sedan and my Daughter drives the C230 coupé. I love the sedan - the styling and performance are outstanding. On the other hand my Daughter thinks that the sedan is a car for old fuddy-duddys. Whatiya gonna do!

All the coupe needs is the Renntech Rear Deck Lid Spoiler and the problem is solved.

I think the C230 has a great front end, but IMHO my C32 is the total package.

The coupe is really sweet.....i love the shape and angles....it does take a minute to grow on you though.....i have had mine less than a week, but yesterday when i came out of my office to leave there was a crowd around it.....it does catch plenty of eyes....to quote one of the young ladies" this is a hot car..so this is the new MB"

I think both are nice looking cars....I have a sedan....although I initially was interested in the coupe, but the 2 extra doors was the major factor (plus the 6spd tranny) were the things that made me go with the sedan....the sedan can look just as "sporty" as the coupe...I guess it is just a matter of opinion....just like one of the previous threads...which would you choose? M3 or C32...I think they are two different animals and hard to compare....but I would not object to having either of them...maybe we should all have 2 MB's in our garages...a coupe and sedan....

IMO...They shoulda made the coupe a 2 door version of the sedan....same light styling as the sedan but just longer doors...and a convertible option...(sorry to say this, but something like the 3 series bmw)...but i do like the front lights and grill of the coupe
