front Rieger bumper from RPI
I called Tom from RPI to inquire about the front E63 Rieger bumper, price was $695 w/o shipping but includes the attached parts (mesh grill and fogs).
The problem is, when I asked about the fitment, he said it will not fit the 2005 C230 with amg kit. Im sure there were a lot of people here with amg kits that was able to install the Rieger.
Anyone here with an amg kit that has a Rieger (one with the side air vents)? Did you have to retrofit it or is it a direct replacement to the 2005 OEM amg sports bumper?

I think this is the same issue that the pre facelift sport sedans had an issue with in regards to the bumper reinforcement. I have a 03 C320 Luxury model and the AMG front bumper fit on mine cause I didn't have the modded sport sedan bumper reinforcement. That's why I had no issues with installing the Reiger bumper. May want to ask him if its cause of the bumper reinforcement on the AMG kit sport sedans.

ok, after more phone calls, I have come to conclusion that the only way for me to install a rieger bumper is to downgrade to a lower model year bumper reinforcement.
Anyone here have experienced upgrading their cars to the amg bumper setup (members with 2004 c320 or c240 )?
do you think a bumper reinforcement downgrade is possible without any other body shop work to my chassis?
do you also have the part number of a downgraded bumper reinforcement (from a 2004 c320 or c240)that will fit the chassis of a 2005 C230 and what other parts will be needed for the installation.
