Hey all,

1.) Whats the best way to increase the horsepower?
2.) I'm thinking about putting 18's on. Will they rub? Should I get springs?
3.) Any other mods people have found to be well worth it?
4.) Im also getting tint....what looks best on the

thanks,
derek

Kleemann Supercharger. But, "the best" costs $$$
2.) I'm thinking about putting 18's on. Will they rub? Should I get springs?
Not with the right offset wheels. And not unless you get 'em too wide (say maybe 7.5 or 8 in.)

Well if you want to increase HP, but you want 18's you will have to go w/ a lightweight wheel-BBS etc. which to me honestly look kind of plain. But if you change your mind about adding/keeping HP I highly recommend going w/ real 3 piece staggered set up wheels. It is a really nice look and you can automatically tell that your rims will not be "knock offs". Going w/Lorinser, Brabus would make you look like the rest of the C's(no cheap shot meant either these are pricey wheels) and people will think they are "knock offs". Make sure you lower your car though otherwise your car will look like a "4x4". As other people in this forum will tell you eibach springs have the smallest drop, while H&R will give you the most. And to differ yourself further make sure you add a body kit.

enri007 has a point you should not miss, drpierso.

Most 18" wheels will weigh quite a bit more than your current wheels. You WILL be able to feel this as slower acceleration.

So think about your priorities - looks good, or good performance? Light wheels like BBS cost big money, too!

Consider too that 18s and lowering will make you car feel stiffer and less compliant. That may be exactly what you want! But you will have a less cushy ride.

For a lot less money than a Kleemann setup , get a set of underdrive accessory pulleys from evosport. You'll free up over 10 hp!

Congratulation!

1.) Whats the best way to increase the horsepower?
How much HP do you want? Just a few, get an exhaust. Want a lot, get the Kleemann supercharger.

2.) I'm thinking about putting 18's on. Will they rub?
Front: 18x8 et 35-32 225/40
Rear: 18x9 et 35-32 255/35
Will not rub with stock springs or lowering springs.

Should I get springs?
No, you should get Carlsson coilovers

3.) Any other mods people have found to be well worth it?
I like my Eibach sways

4.) Im also getting tint....what looks best on the
A medium tint would look good on a black car.

Thanks for all the input.
Yeah, im only looking for a minimal HP increase, seeing how im not going to spend the money for a supercharger. Exhaust/Pulley's are my best bets. Anyone have an exhaust system they prefer or recommend?

And, the wheels im thinking of getting are either the moda r6's or carlsson 2/5 brilliant ed's. Both are 18X8. Anyone seen these on the c320? If so, what lowering spec looks best?

anyone have pics of eihter of the above?

thanks,
drpierso

How about upgrading your computer chip? That should give you some HP gain...
