Hi there,
will these work in 2002 C230K:
http://www.trendcruiser.com/detail.a...uct_id=NOKAWH7
If so, is it easy to "install"?

Thanks... I don't care about this particular brand.. which ones do you recommend (I would like blue color). Also, how easy is it to install? Just remove the stock ones and put in the new ones?

don't even touch that crap
Hey Pweb, NEVER get any blubs that are blue tinted. They are only for looks but a 5W flashlight will perform better. If you want a decent look(superwhite) and reasonable price, got for PIAA. They are the best halogen (HID look) bulb so far, IMO. I am currently using the Plasma FX 100W (5000k) they really look like HID. Very Intense and bright. Illumination are not that bad. However, if you want illumination more than look, go for the Xtreme White (4150K)--they are not as blue as the Plasma FX but very bright.
Check out this site: I know they are a little expensive but just take a look.

this may be a stupid question, but do you need a kit to install hids on a c230 coupe? this thread mentions just the bulbs, but i have seen a whole kit laid out on this forum before.... whats the story?

Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it!
I'm assuming that you are using:
Plasma FX - 5000K | H4 | 80/80W -> 135/115W *high output
Am I right about the installation? Just twist them in?

hokusbenz, you can buy a complete package - REAL Hids - for over $600, OR just these bulbs - they are very bright and look just like real HID lights, but are much cheaper

The phillips blue-vision and vision plus are both very bright bulbs. But if you are going to spend the money for PIAA stuff, save a little more and get real HIDs. You will be glad you did.
I also have plenty of info and pictures on the lighting site i showed you

PIAA
Here is what PIAA service told me --
***
We don't have a listing for your vehicle in our application guide, but if you can get us the number off the bulb itself we can cross reference it over to our part numbers. You might also be able to get the bulb type out of the owners manual.
Thank you,
PIAA Service

I checked their site - they don't have H7 bulbs! So which one is going to work??!

I can get you PIAA Plasma H7 Bulbs, but it'll cost a fair amount of $$$'s. They look AMAZING though, and they are very reliable. E-mail me if you are interested.
The reason they cost so much is because PIAA USA doesn't sell them, so you have to import them from Japan if you want them.

yeah they are a easy install, 10 minutes for all 4 bulbs tops. if you go to the lighting faq , it explains everything. The left fog light is a little tricky. but once you see how to do it, it's an easy install

yes and no. I don't have a jack and i did it, but a jack would be alot easier. I had some spare 2x10's that i placed on ground and drove the left wheel up on them and brought the car up about 4 inches or so, that way its easier to install left light. The right fog light you can get from the top of engine by reaching your arm down behind the headlights and you can feel it, then there is a little hole under the right fog light that you can drop the bulb out of, switch it, then stick back through hole and reach back down from top of engine and replace. I will post some pics as soon as i can.
