Rear Seat Cover for C Sedan

Anyone had any experience with the rear seat cover for the C Sedan? I'm trying to protect the backseat from my German Shepherd and I am getting tired of blankets and towels. Let me know. Thanks.

Mercedes sells a vinyl rear seat cover for the C sedans for $94. It is available in grey or Java. Go to the C240 build your own web page at MBUSA.com for more.

Ethan,

I bought the vinyl rear seat cover for the same reson you have...it works good...the only thing that I have a problem is that the middle head rest does not remove, so that there is a slight uneveness there...but it works good....there is another cover I am looking into...I have seen several models, but Orvis make a hammock type thing...front attaches to the front seat head rests and the rear of the hammock attaches to the rear seat belt - still looking into these products....since they cover the entire back, you dont have to worry about hair on the floor..with the seat covers, you still get hair on the floors and the vinyl attracts hair like crazy....but it is still worth the $100 for the cover....

shtatc, I have seen those somewhere on the internet. It seems to me that the hammock would be safer and more comfortable for the dog.

The Orvis hammock looks like a good idea. My only concern would be the weight of my 75lb dog pulling against the front seat head rests. But if the hammock is large enough shouldn't be a concern. It said 50" by 52", but I can't measure the backseat of the C until it gets back from the shop. If I order it, I'll let everyone know how it goes.

(damn spoiled dog, anway)

Ethan...

spoiled dog....I understand completely.....I think I will look into the hammock device a little more in depth....my sister's dog is about 85 pounds....so we do have the same concerns....
but, I still have towels and blankets available.....mostly to celan up the slobber on the windows, etc, etc.....

Lynn,
do you happen to remember any of those websites?
I originally saw the Orvis one on the plane in the SkyMall mag...
Thanks

is this what your looking for?

This easy-to-use pet travel bed actually protects the entire back seat area of your car. Prevents injury, soiling and spills, keeps pet hair off the upholstery, and is easily installed and removed. Colors vary slightly. Fits around head rests and seatbelt loops. Spot clean. 50" x 52". USA.

Just had the dealer install the rear seat cover today. All is great, except that the middle head rest doesn't remove so it doesn't fit quite as snug (as it was mentioned on this thread, earlier). Overall, it's well worth the $94 bucks if you want to protect your backseat from dog paws, hair, etc...
