Front end noise
https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...oise-help.html
Yes I read that and checked the bushings/endlinks/swaybars and all seem to be fine. When I drive and brake semi-hard it seems to make a clunking noise and an occasional ticking noise. I think its the axle so I checked it and doesn't seem like there is any issues from the exterior, could be wrong. There seems to be a bit of a wheel play on the right side so I am suspecting a possible wheel bearing replacement? Anyone done them before or have similar issues as me?
TIA

Is the wheel play on the stub axle or the ball joints? Can you see the play when you shake the wheel between the rotor & the caliper? Top/bottom shake is best with wheel off of the ground. The ticking noise could be a wheel bearing roller breaking up. Is the ticking noise a bit like a CV joint on the way out at full lock?

Unless you have a 4Matic you have no CV joints - I was just likening the noise to a worn CV joint - I would get someone mechanical to check the wheel bearing, all ball joints & bushes. See my freehand highlight in green. I don't know how better to explain. Please don't hesitate to ask questions.
