I WAS DRIVING AFTER PICKING UP A SONIC DRINK BUT AFTER I GOT HOME IT TURNED OUT THAT A BIG HOLE WAS AT THE BOTTOM OF MY DRINK THAT WAS IN THE CUP HOLDER NOT THE HOLDER THAT FLIPS OUT. SO SOMEWHERE IN MY CONSOLE HAS TO BE ALOT OF JUICE IN THERE SO FAR I BEEN DRIVING IT FOR 3 DAYS NOTHINGS WRONG EXCEPT MY CIGARETTE LIGHT ISNT WORKING AND SOME OF THE DRINK SEEMS TO BE LEAKING ON THE BOTTOM OF THE CONSOLE N THE BACK FLOORMATS NOTHING BIG THO. SHOULD I BE WORRIED ABOUT MY CAR AND ALSO I STILL HAVE EXTENDED WARRENTY TILL THE 28 OF MARCH AND I COVERED BY MERCEDES. I GOT AN APPOINTMENT WITH MERCEDES ON FRIDAY SO THEY CAN CHECK MY CIGARETTE LIGHTER SHOULD I TELL THEM I SPILLED THE DRINK.

;-) I don't think you'll have to tell them, it will be very obvious. Also probably not going to do anything good for your warranty as drinks spillage is not covered!

I'd absolutely try and clean it up - most cola is actually acidic and can cause corrosion.

It is probably a blow fuse, the fuse for your cigarette lighter is under your hood. The fuse for my cigarette lighter was blow, I replaced the fuse an now it works.

yea but do u think that had to do with the spill any other things i should expect to happen

aznboi0124, that's a really loaded question - there are any number of things that are electronic that could have had liquid spilled on them.

If you are not comfortable removing the console and cleaning things up, I'd find a friend who could help - would be good preventative maintenance.

Fuses blow for a reason, and you need to fix the reason rather than just replace the fuse.
