c240 oil change opinion

so i am at 158k and between services, my friend has a coupon for half off an oil change at a full service car was place..

a valvoline synthetic change is $70, but of course they do not have my filter..
if i bring my own filter they will give me $2 credit.

so for $35 + $2 -price of filter = oil, labor, and a works car wash

thoughts?

oh i have a week to use the coupon, do we think it is worth it between change intervals?

thx

At that mileage, doing an early change to give it a bit of a flush is fine. Just make sure they use the correct oil - See the Definitive Oil Thread. You don't even have to change the filter.
