I ordered them on sat. they shipped out on monday. base on the tracking, it should arrive within couple of days. if it does, i'll install them this weekend and let you know!
and i just got this car few weeks ago.... was a gift ....so no experience with the AB weather.
if your not itching to get the kit right away, i suggest maybe you hold off the purchase for a week. i can always give u a heads up first whether they are worth the purchase.

Thanks aac85. Ill wait for your verdict.
Doesn't the H7 bulbs ship with the kit?

yes the bulbs ship with the kit.
its just i accidentally ordered the D2S kit instead of the H7s.
so instead of returning the D2S, i decided to buy the H7 bulbs.... and they finally arrived!!
lilbenz, or anyone with a 50/55w kit, did you guys install a relay harness just to be safe? i really want to install it now...but im scared of messing up my stock harness....plus all shops are closed...have to wait until tomrw or sat then
anyone know if the stock harness for a halogen setup is the same as the bix? if it is, i'll install rite away with no worries!

I have a 55w kit and no relay harness. Don't quote me on the person who said this, but I think it was e1000, that the Benz wiring can handle it just fine. I trusted this and it has been fine. Had them in since January, I think.

lilbenz, where did you mount the ballast?
do you think this is a safe location by lmandi89 in post #1318?
https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...thread-53.html
im wondering if its possible to just snug it in there without zipties or double-sided tape... but most importantly, how safe are those locations?

below are pics of the VVME HIDs.... 55w 6000k
pics are grainy...sorry, used my cellphone.
jcnash, as you can see, they are bright as hell. those pics though are BEFORE beam adjustments. they cutoffs are decent but even adjusting them down, they do generate a slight bit of glare.
when they are this strong, that bit of glare can still hit the eyes in front. i'd recommend the 35w
and yea....my ballasts sound weird....when they are running, are they suppose to do a very low and minor humming sound??
btw, these beams are suppose to be intense white with a tint of blue....NOT A TINT OF YELLOW. my phone sucks...probably has flash on

I agree...those are BRIGHT. I'm going to order the 6000K 35W kit...and here's hoping that they wont produce errors.
Thanks for the review.
Cheers!

installed kit from vvme.com
hey guys
after lookin over this thread over and over and over i decided to order a 35w kit and take the gamble, and it payed off. i got 35w 6000k and im gettin no errors or anything. they look great so im very happy!! i have led city lights and side markers on the way and im still not sure about doing led for the fog lights? after installing the low beams hid im thinkin about gettin a kit for the fogs as well but i want them blue so probably 8000k? any input is welcome...
about the install:
ridiculous!!!!!!!! took me forever and not cause it was complicated, i honestly dont know how ppl can change these bulbs at all , there is no space in there!! my last car was a 2000 328i and it'd take me 30 seconds to change a bulb, it took me probly an hour just to put the bulbs back in straight, i was so pissed off i had to take a couple breaks inbetween ... once i got everything in place i used the zip ties to keep the ballasts secured..
about vvme:
highly recommended!! good service, extremely fast delivery (i ordered monday night and received kit friday morning), no errors with 35w kit, use the provided instructions and this thread and install should be very easy i just hope you have tiny hands!! lol

i foresee this thread being merged with the 70 page aftermarket hid conversion thread
go away to classifieds dude.
so people with HID's in halogen housing, anyone want to post up pics of their cutoff lines? I keep reading about the ability to adjust the height of the HID bulb? how is that done?
I do remember one member posting a picture of his light projection (HID in halogen housing) and it was pretty good, like stock halogens. I just can't seem to find that pic again.

i just got HIDs installed in my car yesterday. i had to pick up the car after the shop already closed and i was disappointed to see that half the light is still halogen while half the light is now HID. it makes it look half blueish and half yellow on each light which i think is very unappealling. i just want to make sure it's possible to make the whole light HID before going back...so can anyone confirm that it's possible and if so, does it just use H7 again or what?
city lights/bumper lights:
i ordered white led's and they flickered, then i ordered super white bulbs and theyre not much different than stock, now i ordered different blue led's to see if these work... what a pain in the ***

theres two possible things you could be talkin about... either the high beam bulbs or the city/parking lights... if it's the high beams that you wanna change then youll another h7 hid kit. if its just the city lights (in my pics the inner lights that are yellow those are the city lights) then you just get '194' replacement bulbs either white or blue led's or whatever you want...... hope that answers your ?
