-Tail lamp bulbs do not function due to high wattage going to tail lamps. Fixed by adding a resistor in series circuit to the tail lamps.
-Rumbling noise in rear axle area (VIN A274457-A358180)
-Engine performance complaint (C230 K 1.8 with auto trans.)
-A/C compressor switches on frequently
-C230K 1.8 oil leaks from front crankshaft seal
-2002 ESP warning light
-2002 & 2003 sliding/pop-up roof reverses
-Front turn signal bulbs inop due to contacts of bulb socket burning.
-SRS light on
-2002 Exterior mirror
-Display reads "Engine oil level above max." while driving
-Front cupholder broken. New, updated cupholder.
-2002 C230K replacement of lower left charge air hose
-Rear axle noise
-2002 Incorrect fuel gauge reading. Fuel level sender units
-V6 models rough idle/rough running/hesitation/won't start
-TeleAid remote unlocking inop
-A/C inop
-Windshield fogging above dash center outlet. Updated center vent outlet.
-COMAND does not respond to voice controls
-CD changer static or interference during CD changer playback
-Thumping noise from front axle while driving over bumpy road
-Poor AM/FM recpetion
-Transmitter key operating intermittently. Updated transmitter key
-203 wagon tailgate spoiler loose
-Front seat head restrint rattles
-Noises from shaft for front seat tilt adjustment
-Panorama roof panel does not open or move
-Trunk lid does not open
-Upper radiator crossmember mounting bolt breaking
-Noises from instrument panel/right A-pillar
-Purge valve "ticking" noise while at idle. Updated purge valve bracket
-Station wagon: pushbutton for rear side trim panel in luggage compartment is loose
-Accelerator pedal squeaks when pressed
-Door check noise
-Sliding/pop-up roof loses automatic function
-Squeaking noise from wiper blade on passenger side
-Backrest adjustment function does not work on semi-electric seats
-Poor AM/FM reception, vehicle can only be unlocked from within a small radius
-Noises from windows when fully raised/lowered. Window regulator failure.

Can you post some info how how the exterior mirror assemblys are attached and all of the parts involved? When reversing out of the garage, the mirror got bent towards the front of the car and is now a little loose having been sprained. Thanks in advance.

Would either the 03 ML, E-class or CLK-class V6 dipstick work for us? What would be the limitations if they did?

What is the rear axle noise problem? I have had mine looked at for a random noise that was appearing under very heavy acceleration and spirited driving once or twice. I just noticed a noise the other day as well while driving normally, but did not see anything in the road I may have run over. So would like some more input on that one if you have any.

 

There is a bulletin about shimming the differential mounting points...I believe the noise usually came under deceleration. The differential was hitting/vibrating against the frame.

 

Wonder if there's been any software updates on engine or auto transmission for 2001 c320 model?

Drove a C230 coupe recently and found the autotran downshifted
itself during braking more agressively. As a result, less brake
pedal effort is required to hold the car at stop. That's nice.

Another C240 behaived similiarly. Both of these were of '03 model.

I'd like that feature! ...also earlier shift points during light [residential] driving. Right now my auto shift point is at about 3k...2.5k would be much better.
