Compare that to General Motors, they also had a very similar problem on my 5 cylinder motor used in my GMC Canyon, but they stood behind it, sent all owners a letter explaining the problem and extending the warranty for this issue to 100K miles. So yes, I hate MB for not standing behind their products.
I've only had the Merc for a little over a year now and haven't had anything go wrong yet, but when/if it happens I expect MB to do the right thing. My benchmark is Audi based on two separate events 15-odd years apart.

Back in the early '90s my father's Audi 4000 transmission took a dump out of warranty. He had it rebuilt at an independent shop and as an after-thought send a letter to Audi telling them about it. Out of the blue a check arrived soon after for $1,500 usd.

Fast forward to Christmas this last year and my wife's TT, an '04 15k miles out of warranty, had a coil pack decide to catch fire 30 miles short of a 7 hour drive across the middle of nowhere between Phoenix and southern California. The car gets towed in to the dealer only to wait for a week for a new $15 usd connector. The good part was Audi sending us a check for the cost of the tow and the dealer repair, plus paying to have the other five coils replaced.

To me, it takes more than reliability to make me want to own a vehicle. Yes, the Mercedes has its quirks and it isn't perfect. But it looks fantastic, drives so good, and has an unquantifiable "special" feeling about it. I'll take a car that feels good to own and drive over a Taurus that simply runs without issues.

Maybe it's just me?

It's not just you - A Benz is special to drive. I'm lucky - I've never had any problems with the Mercs I've owned.

A problem has emerged.

I took off the tire only to see that the brakes did not match.

I bought them from MercedesGenuineParts.com

I noticed the Hex bolt was loose. I don't know how in the world this has happened.
Did some idiots try to mess with my car? It was only the top ones. Maybe they tried to steal them? Who knows.

My original Brakes have these holes where these pins go though them. Not the ones I got.

My only conclusion would be that I got the Luxury ones and not the Sport ones

But on their site they dont have a place to specify Sport so does this mean I should get the C230 ones?

Here is the one I got. Hopefully I can ship it back to them and they can get me the correct ones without a hassle.

I got a couple of questions:

Why would my brakes squeak? It seems like there is enough pad on there doesn't it?

Thanks guys
Your setup looks like mine but I have a 230K SS. The pad you got are definitely incorrect if thats the case.

Thanks , I talked to the guy and he said I ordered the C350 Luxury pads. From his site you have to go with the CLK ones he said. Also It was my fault during checkout it prompts to put VIN but I was too lazy to go get the VIN out of my car so I just skipped that part and got the wrong ones. lol
