just buy a copy, I did

I don't think it's burnable anyway with all the protection on it... Unless you use Mac or Linux

Steve just finished install my Euro Comand system - Question

I screwed around this all the way home, read the manual, and tried to figure out when I got home.

I got the Nav all set, the route is done and it's guiding me home.

Ok everything is cool.

I decide to turn on the radio, so I hit the AM/FM button and the screeen changes to radio screen, I tune my station, and then hit map to go back to my map screen.

Still everything is cool, I got my map screening going and the radio is playing

Here is the problem.

I want to turn the radio off, but don't want to kill the power to the comand unit. The only way I could figure out how to turn the radio (or CD for that matter) off was to either kill the power to the comand unit (which also kills my guidance) or turn the volume down all the way.

This is driving me nuts!!! How do I turn the radio off without powering the entire comand system off???

Thanks guys!

BTW: Steve did an awesome job on the install! Very nice guy!

hey man,
just got mine done tonight at Erwin's as well (too bad you didn't hang out over there longer)...i also had the same question as you, i think the only way we can do it is to turn the volume all the way down, you still hear the voice because the default is +5 of whatever the volume is, of course you can adjust that to more or less if you want as well

The second button on top from the right has a speaker icon with a line going thru it. When pressed it will mute anything playing. Dont press it when the voice is talking it will mute that also.

YOU CANNOT turn the tuner off completely while the nav is on. Just mute it or use the volume button and turn it down.

I think I left Erwin's house about 10:15pm last night.

I get up at 4am to go to work, so 10:15 was well past my bedtime

Sux I didn't get to meet more people!

doh! damn that would be pretty late then, i was plannin on comin earlier to see "THE MAN" at work and to meet more people, but we stopped to eat first before comin over. in fact, steve wasn't even suppose to do my car last night (i was scheduled for 11 AM this morning), but said that since i was already there he might as well just do it! that man is unbelievable, straight from the airport, didn't even go to his hotel yet and had his luggage in the garage with him, and straight to Erwin's garage in which he immediately began to do installations until 2 AM, he's like...superhuman . thanks again Steve! i <3 my COMAND (too bad the digi-climate control wouldn't work )

Steve just finished my EURO COMMAND two nights ago. He got up late, caught his flight, dropped off his luggage at the hotel, and I picked him up to go straight to my place for the install.

I dropped him off at the hotel around 11PM and he was off the next day to Chicago (to see you all). The COMMAND is off the hook, something I've been missing since I bought the car in early April. I'm glad I have it now!

Thanks Steve!
