trying to tap into the cigarette lighter Help!
I already removed everything.
there is 4 wires 1 yellow and black
1 brown
2 gray
I dont know which one is the positive and negative and what are the other 2 for.
any help is appreciated

I didn't post pics.
Just use a voltmeter.
You want the wires that are 12V with the ignition on, and not effected by the dimmer
(ie usually the trip reset switch, turn it to adjust...if it goes up and down it's the light).
I think, perhaps I used brown and black? Not sure.
It was self evident when I disconnected the wires which were for the light, and which were for the
element.
BTW- the 3 outlet unit pictured here is a POS.
Try to find one of good quality that won't get messed up everytime you put a connector in or out.
Kragen has one with a USB power outlet built in. Another project.
And highly recommend, opening it up and cutting the LED's. Way too bright and distracting.
I drilled holes in the bottom of the shelf, and screwed it in place.
