mirror settings when parking ( Not working Fully)

Alright when i first bought my car used about a year ago this setting worked perfectly fine. Now it only moves right but not down towards the rear tire.

Any ideas Ive tried to do a memory reset a few times but still no luck to get it to move down towards the tire.

To store passenger mirror parking position:
1. The vehicle must be stationary.
Turn the electronic key in starter switch to
position 1 or 2.
2. Select passenger side mirror& and adjust the
mirror to view the curb.
3. Push the memory button “M” (4).
4. Within 3 seconds push bottom of adjustment
button (3).
The mirror should not move.
Repeat the memory procedure if the mirror moves.
Note:
One stored parking position is available for each of the
two electronic keys.
This is only possible if you select “ON” in the menu
“SETTINGS KEY-DEPENDENT”. Refer to individual
setting menu “CONVENIENCE” – “

I just picked up an 07 c230 and scratched the hell out of the rear rim. Is this feature avaliable on an 07? I live in the city and this would be so helpful.

THE C350
Krisv420 i had the same problem and it was the dam memory thing in the passenger door i lost the invoice but i remember that the part was over 300 and version coding was two hours of work supposedly. since then it works fine. sorry for the bad news hopefully it is something else.
Pewter7 i know on the older w203's that to turn it on you go into setting and i think convince then turn it on. and you also have to have the mirror selected. so i assume if it isn’t in their then you don't have it. you could also look in your owners Manuel i am sure it talks about it in their. if you don’t have one you can get a pdf on Mercedes web site.

Parking position exterior rear view mirror
(only vehicles with memory function)
The passenger side exterior mirror can be adjusted and
programmed to assist the driver during parking
maneuvers (e.g. to observe the curb or other objects
close to the vehicle).
With the electronic key in starter switch position 2, and
the exterior rear view mirror switch in the passenger
side position, the passenger side mirror will be turned
downward when placing the gear selector lever in “R”
reverse.
Note:
For activating the mirror adjustment, see under
individual setting menu “CONVENIENCE” – “MIRROR
SETTING WHEN PARKING”, on page 134.
The mirror position can now be adjusted as desired.
The passenger side mirror will return to its previous
position:
• immediately at speeds above approx. 6 mph
(10 km/h) – independent of the engaged gear,
• after 10 seconds when shifting gear selector lever
from “R” Reverse,
• by pressing the driver’s side mirror button%.

THE C350
asc=American service center i assume that you live around here if you ask. Never take your car to hbl they are to expensive and have bad service. My sa at asc is Burk and he has helped me a lot with my problems. He even introduced me to the shop foreman to get the xenon=present set for free. They are all very nice and professional. I am sure that if you stopped by they would help you with your mirror setting in the service lane. I would recommend wed around 1pm they are usually not busy and can help you without rushing.

That is so stupid to take it off. Glad I have stock rims!

Yes I live in DC, family has used Silver Star Motors in Vienna forever, and they said to go to asc as well for any warranty items. Got a name for someone over there but cant think of it at the moment. Thanks for the help.
