How to remove W203 Grill?

Hey,
I checked the search button but I couldn't find any threads on removing the stock grill on a W203. I'm planning to buy a 3 fin grill for my 07' C230 but I don't know how to remove my current grill. Can anyone give me instructions?
Thank you

not sure if you are searching hard enough? but lift up your hood and star at the bottom of the grill there just screws, unscrew it and the grill comes out

On mine, they were 5/16" hex screws. I had to use a wrench to remove them, not a screw driver.

But other than that, the easiest mod ever.

I was about to ask this question before also, until I opened my hood, and looked at the grille.

Easiest mod other than replacing the hood ornament.

Anyways: to OP:

Sir, there are 6 screws holding your grille in place.

Open your hood, and look at the back of the grille.

You will notice the Latch, and 6 black things sticking out.

Using a normal wrench, unscrew all of them.

Carefully take off your grille

And replace with your new grille: (If I came with clips, you're lucky. Simple screwing back in of screws)

If it didn't come with these 'clips' then read on:

They're those silver things that the screws go into. Really cheap version of a 'nut,' but serves its purpose.
You will notice them on your OEM Grille.

I used a hex key that fit into those holes and pushed it in, then pulled the clips out and pushed them onto the new grille.

Do that 6 times.

Put the new grille back onto the hood.

Screw the 6 screws back in.

Close Hood.

Admire work.

(I think you might need to look for the latch replacement thread, as the fin'd grilles require a longer latch. I'm glad my prestige grille didn't require that)

Hope that helps.
It's a lot easier than it would seem. The scary part is diving in without any knowledge. (I did that. It was funny now that I think back on it)

Yeah - it is pretty straight forward but like iJimpanzee said - check out the latch replacement threads. Your replacement grill should come with a new latch which may be a different length, but again, easy to figure out how to install it.
