I tried to get the dealer to replace mine, no go. Said they found no issue. Warranty ended yesterday.

Where do you live? leave car outside in the sun all day then drive to the dealership immediately and get pictures. Then start complaining. I wish i had done that more but mine is not too bad. Mercedes will cover you for at least 30 days if you go back complaining about the same issue that is what my dealer told me. Mercedes has covered me like 10k out of warranty on big stuff and 20k on some small things. That was on my 100k warranty when it expired. Don't just live with it because you will regret it.

Well, at the NJ meet today, I replaced my MFD with one that I had bought on ebay. Bought the entire cluster for $275; replaced the cluster cover as well, since my original one had gotten scratched over time. According to the seller, the cluster was from a wreck with less than 30k on tho odo. I guess I'll believe them, not that it matters.

Anyway, had followed valexv's thread to remove the replacement MFD (great fyi, Alex ), so at the meet today, it was old hand. Took 10 mins total to switch out, and in 90 degree weather, it was perfect.

So for those of you who have this issue, rather than spending a ton of money, I'd recommend trying a replacement off ebay / Potomac first. Of course, it's hit or miss, but it's a hell of a lot cheaper.

No impact; it's not stored there. As Alex said as well, the clock had to be reset, but that was all.

I think the only swap I've seen has been to a CLK cluster, if I'm not mistaken. I think that sunil might have done it. Required a lot of work and new parts. Unless you have 2 grand and are doing the work yourself, I wouldn't even attempt it. I'd just get a Brabus steering wheel and call it a day.

I am having the same problem with my 2003 C230 display, I am also having an issue with the transmission fluid cooler. It has failed and has allowed antifreeze to mix with the transmission fluid. I know this has been a common problem with the W203. Should the dealer have caught this during a Service A or a Service B?

If the fluid level was fine, and you can't tell that the two are mixing, then no, I wouldn't knock the dealer. A and B are more topping off of stuff than a true diagnostic review of everything.

I found the supplier of the screens. They are $120 each shipped. I have to order a minimum of 5. It takes about 2 weeks for me to get. I will order them for whoever wants them , as I need one, and I will pay up front, so whoever wants one doesnt have to pay until I receive them.

It is a supplier in China, who makes LCD displays for cars. There name is in chinese symbols lol , but I sent an email in English and they have these screens in stock. They are brand new and they say they give 1 year warranty. I will be purchasing them and then pass them on to everyone else, I just want one, but they have a min order of 5 :/

Okay Dave, So I will order them. I just wanted to make sure I wasnt going to get stuck with 4 extra screens. Only other option for me was to buy a used cluster, and swap out the lcd, and still risk having a bad lcd, and probably spending the same or more on the used cluster. Plus I have the c32, so swapping clusters wasnt really an option.

Hey everyone!!! I will get them 5 days from when I order them. I thought it was going to be longer, but it is 5 days with their shipping service. I need to know how many to order.

$120 each. pm me your paypal email if you want one. I will accept paypal payments now, and will send an invoice to anyone who wants one . It should be in your hands in less than 2 weeks. I want to place the order tomorrow night
