Hey if you ain't got over 300hp, there really is no need to get the more expensive GT kit...even just for the look. The C32 brake upgrade IS the way to go. It looks great and I was suprised yesterday how well it worked in an emergency stop in the freeway. With my stock brakes it used to feel like my car "skipped" a little when I would've stopped suddenly from high speeds. But with the C32 brakes I had no jerking or "skipping". It may be a drive for some people to get to evosport, but it is definetly worth it. Make sure you talk to Ben(Mach430) though. He is very attentive and makes sure you understand everything that is going on w/your vehicle.

The brake upgrade is only $799+labor @ evosport. The reason I say only is because the next cheapest Brembo kit is like over 2k and it is only 1 piece. These brakes are like WAY better than stock so I highly recomend them. Any further technical questions ask Ben @ evosport, he is very helpful and takes his time to explain "technical" things to "untechnical" people like me.
Beatgarden, what part of the LA area do you live?? I've never seen your car, which btw is SWEET!

is the C32 upgrade just fronts, or can you get the rears too. If I had 17's I would love to get that kit.
How much was labor?

Nice upgrade!!
you can probably get the rear too, but the C32's rear is really not all that. It's only a little bigger than the C320/C240's rear brake. Just look at my sig...it's small compare to the front.
good thing is that the C32's front caliper is made by Brembo and it's still cheaper than Brembo...

For those doing the brake upgrade...
Okay, the AMG calipers are grey. Our rear stock calipers are that nasty pot-metal looking grey. Is anyone going to paint their rear tweezers grey to match the real calipers in the front? Does anyone know if the G2 grey is close to the AMG grey? I just think it may give them more of a 'package' look if they matched in color.

Finally fixed the steering wheel shaking post C32 brake upgrade!
Yup! Got rid of the spacers and had them "customize" a hub-centric spacer on my Maya wheel. The annoying shake after 55 is finally gone! Trust me kids, after they install those brakes on your cars you will see what I'm talking about . Btw does anybody know how much C32 brake pads retail for? I think I might need to change them already....

Caliber Motors has a good price for the stock C32 pads. But why would you want those when you can stop faster with porterfield and less brake dust.
I signed up for the great brake upgrade, can't wait until the two weeks are up and the parts are in.
Will you be showing off at Starbucks Saturday? Sure want to see those jems in the front.

Yup those hubcentric spacers did the trick! Thanks! By customize I mean that they removed "something" from the rim and put on a spacer in there. As you can tell I'm not one for mechanics! As for size I dunno either...I will find out if you are interested though.
Yes of course I'm going to the meet. Right down the street from my job...I will take an extra "extended" lunch break to go! Are you guys going?

From my understanding w/spacers, unless they are hub-centric then they will shake. You might get used to it after a while though...since your car is so low already you probably are used to compromising a bit already

H&R spacers are hubcentric... you shouldnt have a vibrating problem...

Stock C32 pads
aren't so bad. They work just fine unless you're into serious racetrack speeds. As usual, the OEM MBZ prices are hard to beat-
about $80.00 for a set of four front pads. The brake sensors are an additional few bucks for more each side.

You should ask BrabusCClass, I believe he had the same Brabus rims and he has the same brake upgrade.

In regards to the C32 brake upgrade, I'm in need of some advice...
I have a 02 C240 with AMG Aero II 18 x 8, 225.40 in the front. From what I was told, these rims will not clear the new brake setup. A spacer setup was also discouraged from Luke at Tirerack because he said it would probably rub....
I would really like to keep these rims because I would like to keep a "stock" looking car. Any other ideas or suggestions on how to make this setup with the new brakes and rims work?
Ive been debating about purchasing new rims, Carlsson 2/6 since they look remotely similar to the Aero IIs, but dont really want to fork out more money just because of the brake clearance problem. Does anyone know if these rims or any others that look similar clear the brakes? Any input would be greatly appreciated as I have found that there are not too many rims that fit a C32, and my brake kit is coming soon! =) I've asked our fellow members on the C32 room with not much luck. Thanks again!
