Question Is the Mercedes rebate still valid?

HI Guys! I am just wandering if any of you know the Mercedes rebate is still valid? I read in Edmund.com a few weeks ago about Mercedes rebate to dealer. But the posting is no longer in Edmund. Any info? Thank you

You don't get it, the dealer does. Know that this money is available to the dealer just tells you how much more bargaining you can do.

I know about the rebate when I was buying my C230, so I take away the rebate from the dealer invoice with all my options added and start working on the out the door price. I paid $30,756 for a C230, Brillant Silver, Auto, C2, C7, leather seat, and dealer installed CD changer.

I received a mail from Autobahn MB yesterday they offer $2000 off MSRP rebate for the C coupe and much more rebates for higher classes. The highest is a $10K off of a S500

WHOAA !!!!

I assume this is the '03 C230K sedan. Right??? You said "out the door price" so it also includes tax, tags and incidentals?

Stop using the term "REBATE"

As pointed out above, there is no rebate involved - these are cash incentives to the dealer. True rebates mean you have the opportunity to walk away with cash - which is not true for any of the MB dealer incentives.

Getting a bigger discount off MSRP because of dealer incentives is not the same thing as a rebate being offered - the former is strictly negotiated between buyer and seller, and the latter is a straight cash offer from the manufacturer to the retail buyer.

Too often, incentives remain semi-secret, though the current MB program has gotten wide publicity here and elsewhere. Rebates are openly advertised and even promoted by both manufacturer and retailer. Don't look for real rebates from MB.
