As an update to this thread, for anyone looking.. getmercedesparts.com has the following prices:
Part # 2034211312 - Front rotor - MSRP $130 - price: $97.50
Part # 0044205120 - Front pads - MSRP $92 - price: $69.00
Part # 2115401717 - Sensor - MSRP $15 - price: $11.25
Part # 0034205220 - Rear pads - MSRP $75 - price: $56.25
It may not be cost effective on the rotors, as they are heavy and shipping might put it over. The site is weird as it won't tell you what shipping costs will be. Perhaps with this information people can get local dealers to price match? I just don't believe in paying a penny more than I must, but I do buy the best for my car.

Yes OEM parts from Mercedes-Benz of Annapolis, MD. I ordered the cam magnet pigtails from them just a few minutes ago for $37.50 (for a pair).

Yes, from the website getmercedesparts.com - it's operated by that dealership. I also found that part # 2034211312 (front rotor) is in stock at autohausaz.com - for $103.85/each with free shipping. Hope this helps someone!

Check part number. The Sport models have huge, cross-drilled rotors, as you know. They are more expensive, but $103.85 seems reasonable. The $47.25 price you see is likely a standard rotor for a car like the C240.

i searched '05 c230 on their website...there was no deliniation between models other than c230/c240/c320...etc

the c55 were 93 a peice so wouldn't make sense for the c230 to be more expensive than the c55

The 2005-2007 C230 SS's do not have the same rotor as the C240. It is entirely different. The front rotor part number for the 2005 C230 is 2034211312. The MSRP on it from a dealer is $130. You can get it from MB of Annapolis for $97.50 (getmercedesparts.com) - but MB of Annapolis website says that the C55 rotor is the same part number as the C230. So maybe they're using the same rotor?

That is the link to the part number on Autohausaz. As you can see, $103.89 for the front rotors for the C230SS 2005. It's Zimmerman brand. If you enter that part number on getmercedesparts.com it also pulls up the front rotors. They're $97.50.
The rotors you are seeing are either 1) Rears or 2) For a non-sport car.
All these cars do not have the same rotors.

look up the '06-'07 c230 for brakes. i've noticed that while looking for parts, '05 is blended in with the previous versions, like it would say '02-'05. its like that when checking with pepboys, autozone, and kragen as well. i'm assuming its due to the engine.

ya i wasn't lookin at rears and i know they're different rotors for the different years...but a c230 is a c230 for the year 2005...there weren't any variations to that model...

lots of these online places don't know the difference and say their brake parts fit 01-07 c230's when we all know they have different brakes...

Even when looking on the EPC it can be very confusing.
When you order online you want to be sure you're getting the right stuff.

I received an email this morning from Shawn at Mercedes-Benz of Annapolis, MD - the dealership that runs www.getmercedesparts.com. He told me that he has in stock part # 2711800109 and that they are the real fleece filters for the M271.
Mods please merge this thread if need be.

It's synthetic fleece, no? Like a polyester? Anyway - it's the filter necessary to run the 13,000 mile service intervals. A lot of us 03-05 C230 owners with the M271 have not been able to find any fleece filters for our cars. Even dealers were telling us to use paper ones. But as was posted in the long discussion about this, the paper one is not able to hold up to such a long run between changes. Several members, including myself, were told by our respective local dealers that the fleece filter was no longer produced for our cars. The M112 and M272 V6 engines still have fleece filters available so this doesn't apply to them.
So at getmercedesparts.com with part number 2711800109 you will find a filter with a list price of $15 and an online price of $11. I immediately took this to be a paper element so I sent an email to Shawn, the assistant parts manager at the dealership asking for him to clarify and telling him how we'd all been told that the fleece was not available. He sent me a reply assuring me that the filters listed on their website and sold by his department were the OEM fleece elements. I haven't bought one yet to confirm this, but I plan to do so soon.

Thanks for the information. I just ordered two filters from them, so we will see when they arrive, but it is the part # for the fleece filters for the M271.
Was having my German intern buy a bunch and bring back to me when she went to Germany for a visit, but it will be much easier to buy here if they are the fleece filters that are so hard to find for this motor. Thanks for the resource

Benz to the Beach
I took my 2005 C230 to Daytona Beach and back last week (about 1300 miles total) and I just wanted to post what a fantastic experience it was. Most posts on this forum are about problems everyone is having, and that's understandable. We all come here for knowledge and to get help when we have issues. Well, I don't have a problem - I just wanted to post that I still love my car. The W203 is a beautiful, timeless design that does most everything well - even if it isn't the best at anything.
Attached are a few crappy photos.
1. On the way back home, it reached the big 50 milestone.
2. The car has a new bumper with new paint after a run-in with a dog. Nice to see it's a perfect match.
3. This is my favorite shot of my car.
4. Is another C230 that I saw at Daytona Lagoon. Wondering if it was anyone on here?
I love my C230.
