AMS headers vs EvoSport

Hey does anyone have any recommendations for headers between the two companies. It will be fore a c320. AMS is cheaper , i really doubt that the ceramic coating is worth the extra money but some opinions would be great.

AMS= 799
Evosport= 1495

I would like to think that the evosport headers are a better design, but the AMS headers are just such a good deal - assuming they have been redesigned to fit on the w203. I purchased a set of AMS headers a while back and they flat out did not fit the w203. Beware.

Hello,

For the record, we currently do not have any W203 headers in stock. We do have some for other M112 vehicles but the W203 ones should be available in the fall again (other products taking priority right now). Thank you for your patience.

Sorry to hear about that, TruTaing.

AMS was very quick at refunding me. Additionally, they went out of their way and refunded me for the cost of attempting to install the headers. (the hour spent by my shop to install the headers)

IIRC, I was also refunded for the cost of shipping the headers back to AMS.

AMS (omey) had great service - I would buy more products from them Even though my experience with AMS didnt turn out the way I had hoped, they did a great job making the best of the situation. I could imagine other tuners being less receptive.

Since they are out of stock for the time being w/ the w203 headers, Id suggest looking at the evosport headers or maybe even eurocharged.

Good luck.

Good to know. AMS took care of hooleyboy’s issue promptly as well.

KingBoo-
I’ve firsthand knowledge of the LET/Eurocharged exhaust manifolds fitting properly and increasing output on the supercharged M112.
Can’t speak to their effectiveness on normally aspirated engines though.

At AMS, we strive to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction and we stand by our products as well as our customers. It is that level of customer service that can only be achieved by a more specialized niche tuner who is able to provide that one on one customer service that many of the larger tuning firms simply cannot do.

Thanks again Tru for your kind words, we hope to have you back as an AMS customer in the future

I was just curious how come Tru's headers did not fit his car ? was it just that header in particular or where they not designed for the c320 ?

It was an honest mistake, The headers were mislabeled and put in the wrong box as was later determined. It was an honest mistake on our part and we corrected it and compensated Tru for any monetary inconveniences. I doubt any other tuner would have gone to such great lengths to compensate their customers to such a degree, but since he was on a time crunch and in a rush to get headers project done (among many other modifications) we provided ample compensation. It was a small mistake but an unacceptable mistake none the less and AMS took full responsibility.

Thanks,
~AMS~
