So got my rims and toyo t1r's in decemeber and never new our cars had rear alignment (had a 350z and 98 jaguar xk8 and never had them rear aligned) and as a a result after less than 5k miles my toyo's are shot in the rear on the insides of the tires...I just dropped around 600 on pads rotors and lines 2 weeks ago only to lift the car to replace and saw the tires...took into tire kingdom today to a buddy of mine and was shocked to hear him say I'd be lucky to get another month since the alignment will do nothing to stop the erroding of the tires now that they're so bad...GOD shoot me now!!!! so I had them order me some nitto 555 extremes and they should be here this afternoon...so depressing...oh and did I mention the online warehouse where I ordered my brakes sent me the wrong hawk ceramics for the front...they sent me the ones for the "non" sport '05 c230 kompressor sedan (never heard of such a thing)

That does suck. Sorry to hear that, those Nitto's I believe wear very quickly. My buddy had them on his CTS-V a few years ago and then he bought Toyo's.

There actually is a C230 K non sport sedan. It does not have the sport suspension, upgraded brakes and rotors, and it looks kinda ugly.

I'm having a really bad experience with T1-R's myself. I'll never buy them again.

I didn't like my T1-S's.

it seems like everyone loved the T1-R's at one point, but **** is going wrong with them now.

I'd rather pay some more money for quality tires (like Goodyears or Michellins).

well don't get me wrong I loved the tires...I'd buy another set its just I dont wana pay over 300 a tire for my size...the nitto's are just what tire kingdom had in stock or at the warehouse...my fronts are still toyo t1r's and they're doing great, still look brand new and the traction has been unwavering these 6 months I've had them and I've tested them several times on off ramps/on ramps and corners!

FWIW- If you go with the Michelin's (and some others) you will pay more up front. What you get though is a longer lasting better quality tire.

You have to do the cost effectiveness of it. 1 set of Michelin's as opposed to 2 sets of Toyo's? How would the difference in cost compare?
