C Coupe French car of the year
Stuttgart, 01/24/2002 - During the International Automobile Festival, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class sports coupe was voted “Most Beautiful Car of the Year” by about 250,000 French TV viewers. This is the first time since the competition was established in France that Mercedes-Benz has won the award. The sports coupe received almost 35 percent of the votes cast, putting it ahead of the Peugeot 206 CC, the Mini Cooper and the Renault Avantime.

What was that Black Adder quote...
Something like "what did the French ever contribute to civilization besides eating frogs and urinating in public?"
What has this to do with the fact that they voted the Coupe top award?
Those "ugly" cars have never made it to the top!
Nothing, Just the posts taking interesting twists and turns as usual
To comment on the award: It does not surprise me to see that, as I do believe that the coupe is a nice looking car! Nice to hear that it's getting the recognition that it deserves!
They have a great re-sell value in the UK as a niche car.
The French don't make beutifull cars but have great taste.
I would place the Coupe second behind the TT.
