Panoramic sunroof help please?.....

Hi,
I have a 2002 c230 kompressor......

My pano is working great, EXCEPT, the rear portion of the pano (the small skylight if you will).......does not get exposed because the inside liner will not open or close. The big portion works fine. The liner moves, the roof tilts, slides, etc......

but when the liner is opening (the rear one should open with it, but it simply does not move)....

has anyone had this issue?.....is this a super complex/expensive procedure for a fix (I'm sure it is)?........

thanks in advance,
..Paul..

That sucks... you should buy a whole new sunroof for making two threads about this...

Thanks for the sarcasm......

I wonder if these forums begin first with comments to put people down, and then second to help....

I came from overseas and where I come from, we do not even use internet so I am learning a new language and how to use internet and forums so I'm sorry I'm not perfect. So what? I posted twice to get some more exposure because I need some input....is it really the worst thing?.........

thanks for nothing, have a good weekend...

The worst thing? No. Should you create duplicate threads "to gain more exposure"? Not if you want any respect. There are LOTS of people on this board with issues that actually affect the way the car runs/drives and if they can post a single thread and get help, what makes you better than they are? What makes your problem the biggest concern? Sorry but that's complete

What makes my problem a concern is because I have to pay the remaining balance of the car I just purchased by Tuesday (after the long weekend) and the dealer just called me to tell me that it will be difficult to solve that problem and if I'm still interested in making the deal or not?....

I then figured, I'd use the MB forums for some quick help in solving my problem or at least giving me an idea of what it may be before I decide to say "DEAL".

I have owned BMW's my entire life and within the last year have used the BMW forums and I have not received this sort of "welcome" there......I wonder why?....

So I posted twice...oooooo, noooooo not 2 times!!....haha.......

I'm not here for respect, I'm here for help because I respect you guys....obviously you don't care.........

thanks anyways, i'll call the dealer...

So you don't even own the car. There are coupes-a-plenty for sale - this shouldn't even have been an issue. If you don't want to buy a car with something broken either make the dealer fix it or move on to another coupe. If you'd start with reading the rules of this forum, your "welcome" might have been different.

Edit: I know I would never buy a car from a dealer who said an issue "might be difficult to fix" while the car was still on their lot. Anything that's broken or not right before I purchase a used car is written into the contract that it will be fixed as a condition of the sale. I suggest you do the same.

Thanks,

Yeah it is in the contract as a "condition of sale"........so if they don't fix it, the deal will just end up being broken......so we'll see how this pans out come Tues. after the long weekend.....

Good. A reputable dealership should agree to fix problems like that before you buy it. When I bought my 2005, it was giving the "Brake Pad Wear" warning. They put "brake job" in the contract as a condition of my sale. I wouldn't buy it otherwise.
