white and whiter
that has more to do with how big your rims are rather than how high your suspension is. lowering springs, coilovers, shocks&springs combo are all stiffer than your typical stock setup, so hitting a pothole on the road with out without lowered suspension are all the same. You just feels it more because the suspension is stiffer/firmer. the stiffer suspension has shorter travel than those stock suspensions. the none lowered suspension wouldn't take any less of a impact than those lowered ones do.
bigger rims on the other hand makes a huge difference as there are less side wall to protect the rim vs smaller rims. hitting a fair size pothole with 16" wheel and 19" wheel makes a huge difference. one that you wouldn't damage the 16" you'd probably destroy the 19". That why I always feel to those that say they don't want to lower the car because of potholes yet they still put on some 18-19" wheels that are more prone to damage because of the potholes.
i.e. two W203 both with 19" wheels one lowered and one without are not going to make any difference when they hit a large enough pothole that would damage the wheels.

Lowering your car to a height like that makes sense! It's the guys with their tires tucked inside the fenders that I'm not a fan of. To me, it makes it look like something is wrong with the car, but I understand a lot of people think it looks cool.
