Meh on the painted calipers.. but I must say your car looks to be in great shape!

I'll be the first (and probably the only one) to say leave the suspension alone. I don't understand the fascination with lowering cars that is prevalent on every car forum, regardless of make. IMO, looks ridiculous, diminishes ride quality while increasing probability of lower fascia damage.

simple. take a look at your C230k's ride height and then take a look at his ride height.

Euro C32 AMG

notice the front tire and bumper edge height? 2002-2004 US spec W203 was uber FAIL in ride height.

So I'm guessing i should get a drop??? I also helped my mom with all the landscaping =P

Ill take a picture in a few hours to show you how they look in the day time... Is my car really riding that high??

Also i really don't think i can lower it in the front without spacers.. If i put my hands in the back of the front tires i can't even get 1 finger from the shock to the wheel.. Is 235/45 to big for the front?

I can maybe understand lowering certain models a SMALL amount. But the rest of you guys... I get a good laugh when you go over speed bumps.

As we laugh when we think of you trying to have fun with the stock suspension. It's more than just looks, you know.

Looks good, and DROP IT. I've got your same make and model. The non-sport suspension on these is terrible. I've done the sways, Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs and the ride is much better. There is no problem whatsoever with speed bumps, as one poster alluded to his source of entertainment. I recommend it 100%.

I get a good laugh when I see people drive over speed bumps without slowing down thinking it won't damage anything on the car.

Agreed. But when you have to slow down to 5 mph and create traffic, you know your car is too low.

Agreed. But when you have to slow down to 5 mph with cars lining up behind you, your car is too low.

Had to do something to my '03 (went the H&R/Bilstein route). If I had an 04.5+ I probably would have left everything alone. But it could be my compulsive personality ... I found myself having to do something about the front brakes too.

My C230 is riding the stock suspension (which is pretty freaking low, IMO) and I am scared of speed bumps at speeds >1mph. I roll around them/dodge them if at all possible (slowly, not being a menace) and if I have to go over them I really ease over it very gently.

Can't imagine hitting a speed bump in my C230 at 5mph.
