XENON HID LIGHT LOW BEAM?
XENON HID LIGHT LOW BEAM?
Hi,
Im intersted in upgrading my low beam lights on my 2005 C230 Kompressor to something like THIS since i am looking for a more BLUE look to my low beams. Has anyone had experience with these type of bulbs? Any opinions would be appreciated. Im not looking to spend too much money so when i saw this offer of many of them on ebay i thought it was a good deal.
Thanks!

they are 100w and can burn out you wiring loom and can be expensive in the long run. id say spend the extra and get a HID kit. they last longer. they are safer and bright as hell.
i have 8000k HIDs in my normal lights and my fogs and i have never looked back.

Those bulbs won't give you blue light anyway, it will only be slightly less yellowish than the stock bulbs. Plus those bulbs won't last very long and you'll be replacing them over and over. Might as well get the HID kit now which will outlast many sets of even the best halogen bulbs.
Thanks for your opinions.
I agree that there is a possibility of burning my wiring looms with the 100watt output and i wouldn't want to take that chance, With your support given im not going to get the XEON HID LIGHTS because it wont be worth it in the long run.
Now with the HID KIT, how hard is the installation process, Because im not looking to go into drilling and so forth since i have heard that it will be necessary. If someone could just explain some steps that will need to be taken with the HID kit installation, I would appreciate it.
Thanks again!

The HID kit is only barely more difficult to install than changing the bulb. The only thing you have to "modify" is you have to make a hole in the plastic cover on the back of the headlight for the wiring to pass through to the ballast. Then mount the ballast and job done. Here, check out this thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...d-install.html . His install you can do without even lifting the car up. When I installed mine I pulled the front wheels off and fender liners so I could hide the ballasts below the headlights so they can't be seen at all.
