Ok about 90 seconds of driving, I put a decent amount of gas, not flooring obviously as the car isn't heated up yet and the car started misfiring, the CEL comes on. 5 seconds later I get greatly reduced power, the CEL starts blinking, limp mode activates, and eventually the car shuts off while driving while I was taking a turn at 25 mph. Power steering was obviously off and I had to turn the wheel so hard and I still hit the curb. I restart and its steady CEL and managed to get back home.

Later I take it in to Autozone and they read P0173 and misfires on 3 cylinders. 6 months ago and 12 months ago this happened (except no p0173) and it just goes away and I'm able to drive fine. The car at idle has always been slightly shaky at times at stop lights etc.

What is most likely to cause this? O2 sensors, MAF (which I clean semi-often), fuel system (just replaced a dirty filter after), or a vacuum leak? When cleaning the MAF I did notice that the elbow tube is quite loose right beneath it. From my understanding, these 3 instances were within 2 minutes of starting the car.

P0173 = Fuel Trim Malfunction (Bank 2)

We had this on another car the other day - Think that was bank one - let me find the thread so we don't repeat it all again. I'm personally suspicious of the upstream O2 sensor on that bank causing the injectors to shut down but all you need is a vacuum leak to do the same thing. How many miles rino?
