Question New E55 Wheel question...

Will these wheels fit on a C320?

AMG E55 Wheels

If so, does anyone know when\where I can get them? Thanks much.

YES, check the link below

http://www.mercedes-benz.com/amg/e/f...chtmetall.htm#

not sure wher you can get them though. Check with those performance shops or any where you know they'll be able to ordered the rims for you. They are in the mid-high $400s

Thanks.

Unfortunately, the wheels for the C-Class are a slightly smaller size than the ones for the E55. The E55 wheels are offered in the following sizes.

AMG Light alloy disk wheels (Style IV)
front 8 J x 18 ET 30
rear 9 J x 18 ET 39

Tires
front 245/40 R 18
rear 265/35 R 18

I would like to believe that I can use them without any trouble. I was just wondering if anyone happened to know for sure before going out and buying them...

yea, it's narrower, but the design is the same. Not sure if those wider ones will fit with no complication.

If you want to put the 18" Style IV on a W203, you shouldnt get the sizes from the E55. They have a different size for the W203 - 18x7.5 ET37 front and 18x8.5 ET34 rear. Check this out: http://www.mercedes-benz.com/amg/e/f...chtmetall.htm#

They are available now.

Thumbs up

Thanks. I guess it's my bad for not making myself a bit clearer. I like the Style IV wheels but I was hoping to use the staggered E-Class widths (8" & 9") rather than the 7.5" and 8.5". I guess it's not really that big of a deal since it is only a 1/2" difference...

Whether you're getting 7.5 and 8.5 wheels or 8 and 9 wheels is not a big factor, because you are going to use the same tire sizes in either case, i.e. 225 (or 235) and 255 (or 265). Also, the W211 uses 14mm bolts and the W203 uses 12mm, make sure you're getting the right bolts!!!

So to revive this thread from the dead, has anyone purchased and installed the E55 wheels? If so, can you post a pic? Thanks.

You can't use the E55 wheels for the reasons Harris gave. The bolts are the wrong size and the wheels will fall off if you use them. The 12mm bolts won't fit in the 14mm hemispheric holes properly and they won't have enough clamping pressure to stay tight.

The Wheel Supply sells some that look just like the E55 ones. I believe someone had it on their C. Hmm.

Anyways, heres a link to the wheels.

yeah those are 18s. I like'em because they are wider in the rear and it looks a little bit more aggressive. When it's spinning it'll look even better than the 17s because it has a more sculpted center.

I would, but it's more expensive, and not as pratical at the same time. By upgrading to 19s the tire wall won't be enough to protect the rims if you want to keep the overall diameter the same. I want my car to be a daily car, not just a garage sitter that sees action occationally. lol

true but who cares lol.

after seeing some rims in person now i understand why people say go 19s. 18s just looks weak now imo. same with tinting (20% or darker)

if it was not my daily driver and i had money to burn i would definitely do that.

dont you drive your bug daily? if so practicality shouldnt be the major concern for you. unless you drive long distance alot.

bingo!! actually I only drives the beetle to commute from home to school. Every where else I usually drives the 32.

ahh...****, that reminds me I forgot to start the bug today. Some thing's wasting the battery. If I don't start it once a day the battery will die in two days. Haven't take it in for a check up yet.

Frank, as Harris posted wheels in that style with the proper 12mm bolt holes can be piurchased. That is what is on the C32 in the picture. The actual E55 wheels should not be used for the reasons I posted.

of course...but I think when Humblepie said E55 wheel he meant the style IV for C-class. Not the actual 18x8 and 18x9 used on the E55/E-class.

As I have already mentioned before, there is a Style IV 18" one-piece which looks EXACTLY like the E55 standard wheels. In fact, this is the standard CLK55 wheels in Europe. They are 18x7.5 and 18x8.5. No matter you are getting 18x8/18x9 or 18x7.5/18x8.5, you are going to put 225/255 tires anyway.
