4 cam sensors is that true?
what happens if you decided to get a BMW or a Audi?? i am sure some other poor sole who needs parts can take her off your hands
Last 4 cars were BMW's and I still adore the brand. This is my first Benz purchased for a long commute. The brand, gas mileage and the fact that my BIL works for MB helped close the deal. My 06 W203 was a good deal price wise and at 30mpg highway you can't go wrong.Still like the BMW for spirited driving though the MB is not bad.

Not to discount your experience, but your results would be exactly what I would expect when comparing a <1-year-old car with brand spanking new technology and parts and few miles on it to a 9-year-old car with 9-year-old technology, old/worn parts, and over 100,000 miles on it (assumption). If a brand new BMW performed worse than your 9-year-old Mercedes (or ANY 9-year-old car for that matter), I would be very surprised!

Those that have cannot believe it has 165K miles on it. I made similar trips in the C when it was new and although impressive, they weren't as impressive as the BMW. I was expecting a harsher ride (run flats & sportier suspension) but it was noticeably better. Granted that the six speed tranny helps more in the BMW but the inline six is much smoother and quieter than the V6. I am pleased that the C has weathered extremely well inside, out, and mechanically. The amount of effort to fix defects and 'bugs' (not wear items) was overly excessive but worth the effort. No "new technology" other than the trans having 1 more gear but I rarely was out of top gear. All being said, you are correct, comparing cars 9 years apart is questionable.
