Experts: Is there anything wrong with spacers?
In my searching to see if anyone where was selling some used spacers, I came across many threads about people worring to death and a little 5mm spacer and such. I've never thought there was anything wrong with spacers or adapters, but maybe these cars are different because of the lug studs. So that brings me to my question, is there really anything to worry about as long as I'm using high quality spacers (H&R)? I'm going to be running 15mm spacers all around when I get my C63 wheels on my C55. I'll be hopefully using all the stock 40mm lug studs.

With spacers there is always a chance of vibration. If you use high quality hubcentric - or hub & wheel centric spacers from the likes of H&R or Eibach & fit them carefully you should be fine. Porsche use the things so on our cars I think a little too much fuss is made. Tirerack have an excellent section on stud & lugbolt lengths in number of threads/turns for safe mounting. Give their website a look.
EDIT - Remember that Benz use ball head lug bolts if you have to change length to accommodate new wheels & spacers. Don't get lugs too long either or you will foul the rear park brake mechanism.
