anti theft system problem
hi all,
ok so i'm having a problem with the anti theft system on my 06 c230. Whenever i use the panic button or try to test the alarm the lights will flash without a sound. I guess it the serin horn so i'm wondering if you guys know where is it located on the 06 and is it easy to be replaced and if you guys know any cheap pleace to get, i think dealer will ask for too much $ for it

Its not like the junkie Mercedes anti theft system works that great... Got my windows smashed and the alarm didn't even wake me up.. When my car was sitting 20 feet from my window..
Some car alarms work great.. You can jump on the back of ppls bumpers and it will set it off.. Mine i can have sex in the back seats and nothing will happen until i unlock the doors haha..
To sum it up Mercedes your stock anti theft system sucks**

ok guys lets get back to the subject, so i took the car to the shop and they couldnt find any code or any reasons why the lights flash with no sounds so i ask some guy and he said sometimes it a programming thing and i should go to the dealer and i have noticed one more thing when i keep on pressing the unlocking button the windows will roll down but when i keep pressing the locking button they won't go up. so what do you think guys

Your siren unit / module (whatever the hell it's called) most likely needs to be replaced.
The window problem is most likely related to your meth addiction.

you guys are crazy but anyways i couldnt believe how easy was it to get the alram to work back. i was checking the fuses about an hour ago and once i pulled that fuse out and put it back in the sound went crazy. eazy fix back in business and i'll check the thing about the window next week, it's not something that i really care about

The 07s have a lot of little cost saving things that the 05s didn't have. No more leather inserts, cheap little lock and unlock tabs, all the headlight panels are black regardless of interior color, etc.

No more cellular antenna. No more pre-wiring for phone system or satellite radio or aux input. No more upper compartment in the center console. Cheaper looking fog lights on the luxury version (no idea about the sport). No more oil level measurement or oil quality monitoring. Those are the items I know of, there are probably more.

Would a low oil alert be triggered if you turn your key to run (without starting the engine!!!) as you drain the oil during a change? That might be one way to find out.
