Is there a different between these 2 spoilers, the amg and the sport for the 2005 c230 kompressor? I search and these are the 2 that shows up for the 05 c230 but i cant tell the different.

They should be the same. There are two types out there though, there is the lip spoiler - it comes down over the back of the trunk and frames the third taillight. Then there is the strip spoiler that only sits on top of the trunk. The AMG/sport version is the lip spoiler.

Yes, that looks like the lip spoiler. I don't know about the reputation of the ebay seller. I'll let someone else chime in on that.

There are two type of AMG spoilers.
I can't find the picture of the other type but Rollnnn has it.
I believe the type he had came on the older C32. The type that most people have (230, 55) is the newer one. IMO the older one looked better.

there do indeed exist two types of spoilers.

the sports version and the 55 amg spoiler...

sports looks like the one that is on rolnnn his car ...

the 55 amg spoiler has the folowing part number: a203 790 07 88 9xxx

the xxx stands for the code of your car's color.

it costs about 400 € excl vat, but come's in most of the colors

Thanks lepez and karo, the sport spoiler looks nicer to me but i cant find it online for a reasonable price so im gonna go with the c55 amg style spoiler for $110 painted. Gonna put the order in today so hopefully i'll get it by the end of this week or next week. I'll update once i get the spoiler. I'll be getting the spoiler off ebay from this guy so if anyone had bad experience with him please let me know. Also what do u guys feel about a roof spoiler? Do u think it'll flow with the 05 c230 kompressor's body?

I just put an order for the spoiler and my car is brilliant silver metallic. Hopefully i'll get it by the end of this week or next week. I'll update when i get the spoiler and he does have a lot of good feedbacks regarding the spoilers so i got my finger's crossed.

So i received the spoiler today and i just finish putting it on my car. One of the side is not sitting completly flush. I think im gonna have to re-install it. The tape for one side doesnt seem to be sticking. They color match it pretty good but the quality of the wing is not that good. From an angle u can kinda see the wavy part on the wing. I guess for $110 painted and shipped i cant complain to much. I should have gone with my first choice and spend a lil more and get it from formymercedes instead. I didnt take any pics cuz i wasnt to happy about the outcome. I'll snap some pics tomorrow and see what u guys think.

Sorry to hear you are disappointed with the spoiler. I was going to order the same spoiler from the same eBay seller next week, but I might not anymore. Once you post pics, I guess I will make the decision. I saw a different seller that posted a picture where you could see waves, and decided on the one you bought from because there were several good feedbacks on W203 AMG spoilers.

Is this the problem you have? You can see waves on the top part of the spoiler


Here is another eBay painted spoiler from Taiwan for $139 shipped, but this one is made of polyurethane, which would most likely not have the wavy problems that many cheap fiberglass pieces have.

Heres some pictures of the spoiler. Its not as bad as the one posted above. The wavy part on the wing is there but its not very noticeable unless u look at it from a certain angle with the sun reflecting off it. For $110 i guess this is good enough. Notice the far end is not sticking on good. Is there any special glue i can use to make the end of the wing sit more flush? The gap is not really that big but in these pictures it looks like theres a big gap at the end.

Not bad.

I bought a wing maybe 6 months ago. I got it from ebay. The fitment sucked big time. I had to sand it down and sand the grooves so it would fit.

How is the back part (the part where there is a cutout for the 3rd brake light)

Mine is a little off. I need to do a little more sanding down (grooves).

If quality, fitment and finish are important to you, you can't go wrong with an original spoiler..

It might cost a little extra but the end result will be so much better!
