acr2001,
Yes I do have memory seats for both sides, I will unplug both of them, and report back my findings.
I did do a search, and found 1 thread that was exactly like my problem, but there was no solution posted.
Thanks for the tip.
Ken

Gentlemen,
Thanks for the tips, I also replied to an old thread after I did a search. It is the same situation as my car, but there was no resolution in it.
I will report back with my findings. The Optima is on the charger now, once it reaches sufficient charge I will give it a try.
Thanks,
Ken

The only fix for the draw from the seat modules is to replace them.

Funny, the seat modules worked like that on my CLK with no modification, and they work that way in all the other cars that Merc makes (I think).

are you talking about turning off or something else. they are supposed to turn off automatically but the old ones have a flaw that keeps them on which will drain your battery overnight. i am one of the lucky ones that has the new pn in my car so i hopefully will never have this problem.

Oh, I see. I thought Mercedes just didn't have them switched assuming that they wouldn't draw power if they weren't being adjusted.

The problem is with the control module not properly "going to sleep" as it is designed to do.

That would be scary if MB did that, but there are some things that do worry me about the cost cutting that has gone on over the past few years.

My car has the power/memory driver seat and steering column. My car is an 05, so it's past this problem period in the W203. My seat controls do not work if the car is off and the driver's door is closed. They will adjust the seat with the car off only if the driver's door is open. This is correct operation, no?
