Windshield wiper question (i know, i know)

I need new blades for an 05 c230k with the aero wipers. I always thought that the OEM blades were just bosch icons, but after inspecting the blades on the car, and then comparing them to an icon blade, they appear to be different. the icons have a larger "lip" on the top side of the blade. the OEM blades appear to be a bit smaller than the icons, and the wiper arm appears to have a notch to accept the upper lip on the OEM blade. i searched and some people have said they ran the icons without issue, but they didn't specify if they had the older standard wiper arm, or the newer aero arms. can anyone say definitively whether or not the icons will work with the aero arms? thank you.

The OEM aero/bracketless wipers are made by Valeo. The wiper arms are not different on the W203 regardless of year. Just the newer ones use the "bracketless" wipers. Bosch Icon's should work fine.

If you look at RMEuropean (http://www.rmeuropean.com/Mercedes-Parts.aspx#Category) the OEM wiper blade is SWF. They should both work with the aero arms.

I thought the wiper arms were in fact different before 2004. Pretty sure they're the same once Benz switched over to the factory aero style wiper.

The pre-2004 cars had different length wipers R and L, 22"/24" but after the switchover, the OEM aero wipers were 23" on both sides.

OEM aero's were made by SWF, a division of Valeo.

The wiper arms were different pre-facelift. Also, the SWF/Valeo Aero Wipers are 22" on both sides.

E1000 and LILBENZ230 are right about the arms being different, sorry I was wrong. What I meant to say, based on the OP's question, is that the way the wiper attaches is the same, and the Bosch Icons should work on both old and new arms. They are in fact just like any other aftermarket wiper and they have adapters included to fit any type of wiper arm.

I went looking for wipers & every place that stocked them were out of stock, too expensive or internet order only. I eventually got them from the Stealership for the lowest quoted price, and they installed them for nothing.
