So i was thinking this afternoon while cleaning out my car. I found my Dealer sticker which i had forgotten i had. Then i thought why not frame it because it is something cool to have. That also got me thinking how many of you guys still have it and do you think it would be neat to frame it along with the tittle and any high millage awards you receive. i will also find all my millage pictures i have and add those to a wall of c320 lol. So do you guys think i went crazy or like the idea. or

So last week i was riding with my friends mom to Tuscaloosa to pick up a friend that goes to UA. Well north of Birmingham we had a blow out and rolled twice.
This has got me thinking about my w203 and how safe it is. I know it is a safe car but i am thinking about selling it and getting something newer. I am still amazed that we both walked away with really no injuries. The passenger side where i was got most of the damage i have a strained neck and a few cuts but that is it. The strange thing is that i am thinking way differently then before about safety and life in general. BTW that is vanilla coke that did not make it . I doubt i will leave the Mercedes family but don't really know what i would get.

oh wow im glad you're ok... sorry to hear about the accident. my sister rolled several times on 81S from JMU going around 80mph. the ML was totaled, but all she had was a small bruise on her leg and the shocking memory. my parents bought her another ML after that. i think we're on our third right now.

I'm glad you're all right. That's the problem with trucks and SUVs, they roll really easily. I agree with johnand, you won't get much safer than the steel cage you're driving around now in!

you guys are probably right but i would prefer to have something larger like e class or something. I most likely will stick with my w203 until i can buy a slk 55 or g55.

wow man glad your alright thats crazy, and yeah MB's are definately some of the safest cars on the road
The commercial with the W204 rolling over in a crash then landing and transforming back into a new one and then the narrator says, "You'll know what it means, to own a Mercedes-Benz", makes me proud of my baby w203 lol

Between the two, I think I'd go with the G. I have looked at so many two-seater cars, and they're just way too small! Even our SL (2007) is really small, and it's probably the biggest two-seater out there!

WTF Trey. I remember you telling me about this trip in an email just before you left. I'm so glad you're okay. What's been said already is right about SUVs, but I think you're a lot less likely to roll a ML than an Excursion or Exploder. I really hate Ford.
With its plethora of airbags and ESP, the W203 is still about as cutting edge as it gets as far as safety by today's standards. That said, you CAN do better. See the IIHS top safety pics to find today's safest vehicles. I definitely wouldn't consider an SLK anything if safety is a top priority to you now.
Anyway, I'm glad to see you on here to tell about it. It's fear of something like this happening that usually means I drive the C230 when I take trips with anyone - few of my friends have cars that can compare in safety.

If I were to pick any SUV, it would probably be a GLK. They seem like they have a fairly low center of gravity and quite a wide wheel base. My girlfriend drives a CR-V. I really don't like it much at all, but I worry about her safety in it. It feels so unstable, even compared to other SUVs I've driven. I'm not for Ford either, but I have to say that the Escape is a great vehicle. One of the best SUVs I've ever driven, better than an ML.

I should clarify... As far as stability, I feel the Escape is superior to most. Ride quality is horrible, as is the transmission. One common thing I have noticed with most Fords is the overdrive. In our old Escape, it would just SLAM into overdrive. It was horrible. It was the same with the B4000 we had. It was a manual, but the overdrive gear was always rough, no matter how smooth you were trying to be. My friend has that old Escort - same thing. I would NEVER choose to buy an Escape, but I do think they're one of the best FORD products. Not great, but surprisingly good.

Your pics are huge! When you come to GA, I want to go for a spin in the 320 - That's the 203 I haven't been in yet. I'll let you drive the 230K.

The G55 is just plain awesome
I will keep my c320 forever so either way i will still have a 4 door sedan to haul people or stuff in.

I hope to make it up for this. We can all race. The C320 will win for sure. I do want to drive the 135i, but I doubt you will bring it into Atlanta - kinda pointless to bring the car we're not dealing with!
