I like what some coupes look like but I don't want to live with 2 doors. I think the BMW 3 Coupe is the only pretty car in the range.
I'm assuming you don't like the 1 hatch either? I am in love with the 5-door version - they're so much more popular in Europe and Mexico (I don't even know if I saw a coupe in Mexico, but did see them very infrequently in Europe).
From the news over at 1 addicts (with the reliability of my car, I'm always looking for my next baby, since it's got one foot in the grave), they will be starting to offer the DCT relatively soon on the 1. I'd still prefer a manny, though.
For my money, Honda's manuals have always been my favorites (especially with a short shift kit). Mercedes should be ashamed of their manuals.
Nope, no fan of the hatch. The 135i is a great little car so far. 12,000 miles without a glitch, and the manual transmission really adds to the fun. The run-flats give the car and harsh ride, though, so when they've worn out I'll replace them with something else. I highly recommend the 135i to anyone who enjoys driving. Small, nimble, and the N54 engine is fantastic.
You're correct about Honda manuals, too.. they're great.
