Deer are stupid

The other night on my way home a deer decides to try to commit suicide on the hood of my C. The deer came over a fence and that protects cars from sliding into a gully and there was absolutely no way to avoid the thing. Then after the hit it rolls up and over the car and lands on the trunk, I actually had to "goose" the gas to dump it back onto the road. What a nightmare.

Anyway, the car took the hit pretty well and theres a pic attached.

That brave deer was willing to sacrifice its life just to knock off those chrome headlight rings

He missed

The rings are still there - but they may not survive the repair.

Actually, when I got them I was not sure whether to keep them or not and the deer has convinced me they must go...

ouch- car held up well though. I've seen deer do a hell of a lot more damage. How fast were you going?

Impatct was at about 40 MPH

Road had a bit of slush and the car had some snow on it so it probably helped "slide" the deer up and over.

oooooh DAMN!

I'm surprised it didn't set your airbags off! That would have been extra special!

Well, I give you a 10 for originality!

Luckly, it wasn't a 4 point buck or you'll have all kinds of scratches and he might have suceeded in killing those headlight rings....:p

consider yourself very very lucky

the damage is minimal and you didnt get hurt. Deer have been known to seriously damage cars and kill people in the process of their suicidal assault. Im glad you are ok and the car looks relatively minor to repair. Good luck with the repair. Dont tell insurance about it. You will pay later if you do.

yikes...that might just be the best non-fatal (deer was alright yeah?) freak accident. u can actually still see the fur from the deer ripped off and stuck in the crease between the the hood and fender... ur car actually doesn't look too bad considering a deer can become quite heavy...
