Deal of the YEAR on C-Coupes
If you're in the MD/DC/VA area and are in the market for C230 coupes, you should go to EuroMotorcars in Bethesda as soon as possible.
I just received a letter in the mail from them yesterday saying that they have 29 C230 coupes that were slated to go into their loaner car program but never did. They're brand new, with only roughly 30 miles on each odometer. The best part? They have a base C230 coupe for $19,900. They have one with an auto tranny and a sunroof for $21,990. They also have one with leather seats, CD player, and sunroof for $24,990! These deals are seriously amazing.
Supposedly all the cars come with the "new car" package, including the 50K warranty with free scheduled maintenance. I wish I could've gotten this good of a price when I bought mine
Anyway, I didn't mean this as an advertisement for EuroMotorcars, as I have no self-interest in seeing them procure more customers. Rather, I just thought that these deals were too good to keep to myself.
The offer supposedly expires March 31; if they ask who told you about it, tell them Tim Cheadle.

2003 C230K Sport Coupe, 1986 190E 2.3
Actually Lynn most dealers now use the Manheim Market Report for pricing on trade-in. Right now the average going price at a Manheim Auction is $19,840 for the 2002 C230K Coupe with NADA Black Book at Average Car Wholesale with everything on it for $25,300. So you can see the diference between book and actually what the cars are selling at auction for. I work for an Independant Auto Auction who uses ***/Manheim Software and has access to the Market Report.

2003 silver c230k coupe
I bought a c-coupe at Euro dealer in Besthesda, Maryland last Monday. The deal was real. Mine was a 2003 brilliant silver with C2 roof, automatic, and CD changer. It has 18 miles on the odometer. MSRP was $29,210 including destination fee. My out of door price was $23,500 plus tag and tax and $25 dealer processing charge. Nothing else added. They were using the $4000 rebate deal to sell this car with a $5710 discount!
They had about 20 cars when I looked. All automatics with sunroofs. They had 2 black 6 speed manuals. One was a demo with about 600 miles. I passed on it. Later, they found me the "$19,900" car. It was a black 6 speed with no options added. I passed on that too as I was quoted $900 to get a CD changer installed and I don't like the black color because they are hard to keep clean and shine. Good experience overall. No pressure from the nice saleslady. Her name is Marilyn Mathis. Not much haggling allowed, price quoted was pretty much what they would sell. They only negative thing is that the car was sold as USED, although it has only 18 miles and never been titled. But at this price, I can live with that. So far, I love this car. It is a little sluggish probably because it is new, but it drives very nice when push hard. After I break in this car, I will be driving more aggressive with it. I have heard these cars are selling very fast at these discounts. I think they had about 15 left when I picked up my car last Tuesday.

dcguy,
It's strange to me that it was sold as used (or previously titled). Dealers normally don't title loaners even-they hate to do it. My car had 900 miles on it as a 'tryout' for one of their favorite customers, and was never titled. I would go back and get a CARFAX on it, just to see why it was titled with so few miles on it. Hopefully, you'll find it wasn't anything fishy. Just don't think that becasue you're dealing with an MB dealer that they're more on the up and up than any other dealer.
BTW-MB/dealers are screwing all of us on the resale value if they keep doing this. I'm going to an MB open house on Thursday and I'll talk to the corporate people there about it and see what they say.

Wow.
What deals.
23K?

I saw a lease for $199 in the paper the other day.
Oh well, I just plan on keeping my car.
But to think I coulda waited a year and saved 10 grand!
2/3 of what I paid. And for a Benz. Who coulda known.
Geez.

My local dealer says that they were offered the opportunity to put a fixed (high) number of c230 coupes into loaner/demo status for as little as one day to get the $4000 credit from MB. It was in another prior thread that cars might have to be in that status for 4 months before being sold to get the discount. I cant figure out the convoluted way MB is doing this. Usually there is just a hidden (or not hidden ) incentive without having to technically sell the car as used (but not titled). Having purchased only 3 weeks ago (c230 1.8, white/charcoal,c5,c7,changer) I feel very let down by MB, not the dealer. The dealer is only using what is being offered them. MB on the other hand is acting very short term and probably would have had better long term results keeping the incentive strictly internal for advertising the coupe to a market that usually doesnt frequent MB dealerships.

It could be on a c320 coupe. I belive though, it is predicated on what the dealership has specified as the cars they want to offer the $4000 on. Also, I was told if you had a car on order, it would not be eligible for the $4000 but you may be able to switch to a car in inventory that does have the incentive.

thats bull, euro motor cars stocked their loaner car dept. with the old e320 and some new ml350's they dont give out anything lower then that. they are the only dealership to stock brand new cars in the loaner car dept and they did this about 5 months ago, when i bought my car. plus a salesperson there is a good friend of mine and he told me this.
its probably just a gimmick to get rid of the extra car they ordered when the c-coupe was in demand and thought they would be able to sell them, little did they know that was just a hype.
