Help, broke Spring tensioner screw for emergency brake
Hello y'all
I broke off the tension screw on the emergency brake yoke located underneath the rear seat dead center.
I ordered a replacement yoke mechanism. I don't have any instructions, but it seems like a job and a half. take off both side panels, unscrew what is probably a rusted 28mm bolt on both sides which lower the gas tanks.
can anyone help me with this procedure on how to replace the emergency brake yoke mechanism? It has to be done from under the car
So please help!
thanks!

Yes! 91 in the diagram and that picture top right corner! I need to replace that mechanism, but I need to know which screws to turn. This is a bit inolved while flying blind. Thanks SOOO much for the instructions.

Thanks for that, but i'm replacing the entire mechanism which needs to be pulled from under the car.
YOu have to move the gas tanks out of the way first and i'd like to find the exact procedure for this since i don't want to mess it up.
thanks,

MBWorld Fanatic!
Hopefully more members can chime in. I have never done this but I would have thought it would be easier than removing the gas tank.
Not that i'm doubting you but are you sure it's not Post number 4? It looks like number 91 in the first diagram.
Hopefully you can add all the diagrams together and remove everything ;-)
Good Luck
