Hey guys, I have an 05 C230K (W203) that has just over 72,000 miles on it. When in gear at a stop it idles very low it seems and vibrates the car. Is there something wrong or is this normal. It drive fine other than that but it has me a little concerned.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hrm my 2005 C230 (75,000 miles) does this every now and then. You're not getting a CEL?

No CEL. It just shakes when at idle, could it be a dirty MAF? Im clueless about these cars I just got it.

this is actually a good idea, shocking coming from this source... BUT, if it starts to idle badly even after using some Techron (which I have a feeling that it will), I would say check your throttle actuator, it may have gone bad.

do you get a really rough start-up in the morning?

I used to get pretty rough idles and really rough start-ups in the mornings. my members, the dealer and I all tried to determine what was wrong and it was the throttle actuator that went bad. here's a long read but similar: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...-cold-cel.html

Thanks for the info guys, I think Im going to do the Techron and clean the MAF. Ill report back if that worked.

It could also be engine mounts. When the revs drop to idle, the engine starts to shake the car. It makes a louder sound and it sounds like the idle's lower, but it's not.

Also could need a tune up... Plugs and wires... B4 you get a cel.. My car died at like 82k had to get all new wires and plugs

Ill look into new plugs, but I was under the impression that these cars had coil packs. Am I right?

Well I put some Chevron Techron in the tank, we'll see how it reacts. I also did the thorttle pedal reset and WOW! what a change!

You're correct...C230 has coil packs, so just plugs no wire!
