Just cleaned up my '05 C230 Kompressor and decided to take a couple of pics. Mods include AMG chrome and white grill, flat hood emblem, AMG style trunk spoiler, K&N air filter, LED runnings lights, and HID headlights and fog lights. I've had it for two months now. Enjoy!

Looks good, where are the LED Running Lights at ? do you have any pictures with the lights on ? inteerested to see how everything matches up

Also, how do you find those HID Fog Lights when it actually comes to using them in the fog ?

To OneofakindTrini: Good eye - I just noticed it when I looked closer at the pic.

I replaced my DRL wedge bulbs with LED's for the running lights. They are more "blue" than the HID lights I installed. I'll take a pic and post soon.

Just got my amg carbon fiber trunk spoiler and i cant decide if i want to leave it carbon fiber or paint it white to match. im getting the carbon fiber front lip this week and plan on getting a carbon fiber hood as well. im definitely leaving the front lip carbon fiber but im not sure about the spoiler. i set the spoiler on my car to take some pics but i dont want to install it until i decide if i want to paint it or not.

anyone got any opinions? comments are appreciated.

"annoyance" and "self-righteousness", amoung others...
... if I were you I would paint it partially, leaving some CF exposed but not all. As far as which way to do this, it's your car, so get creative. a lot of these mods are all starting to look the same to me and getting a little boring. that said, we have access to pictures of really the few w203 owners in the US who actually mod... so either way, you'll be unique in your hometown... I just get so desensitized looking at the same thing time after time on this board. no hate, its not like the stuff doesnt look good. just getting jaded.

Leave it CF... it will complete the look of the CF front lip... but that's just my opinion

yeah there arent many w203 people who actually do mods, well i cant say ive even seen many people that drive a Benz and mod, but maybe thats cause im on the east coast and all that kinda stuff is mostly in Cali. maybe up in new york or something but here in DC and Va ive seen plenty of MB's driving around but maybe only 2-3 with anything aftermarket, and its really only been the wheels. i gotta say though ive only been in DC for 6 months so maybe ill find some people,.

your car actually sits even. its a good ride height.

i just noticed your front fascia...
i thought pre-facelift "luxry" fascia has a single slat in the grille opening?

I have that same fascia on my '04 pre-facelift, although its the Canadian Classic model. Mine has the dated top front grille though... the one that isn't all chrome. What's the reasoning for that?

you have the fascia pictured above? or the one I described?
and i dont know that theres a good reason. just extra appeal to the upgraded trim to make the owners of said trim feel better. the grille on your car looks a little more traditional, like what came on the w202, i believe. so it may also have been just an easy design decision.

the "Classic" trim is the basic trim lvl of MB. it's Classic, Elegance, and Avantgarde. Elegance and Avantgarde gets the all chrome grille.

Paint mine while you're at it haha. Think I'm giving up on the paint though. Had all chrome vinyl'd this weekend, and it came out amazing, matches perfect. Then there's my damn nasty looking spray painted grille haha.

Sorry, I meant the fascia pictured above.

Frank, Ah I figured as much, but thanks for clearing it up for me.

Frank-

I was well aware of classic, eleg, avant--- but i thought these were ROW trim levels, where the US had luxury and sport only??

Hmm....
So the US cars I see with that particular front fascia but with the full chrome grille (Xhale as an example... also saw one at the gas station today) ... what's their story??

sorry, i know, i ask a lot of questions.
