Maximum road trip mode. From the Bay Area I went north on the 101 to Crecent City, continued up the Oregon coast to Astoria, on to the Olympic peninsula, Port Townsend, ferry across to the mainland then across the boarder to Vancouver BC, back to the US and the San Juan Islands, then south south Seattle, Portland then head SE to Crater Lake before returning to California. On the empty roads of eastern Oregon I discovered the wagon is governed at 128mph. Its the best $1100 car I've ever owned. The only problem it had through out the trip is the teleaid module died which was useless anyway.
Bought this in a bit of a state, had her about a year now. Once the battery drain issue was sorted, and a damn good service I've fitted facelift headlights and mirror indicators, 17' staggered alloys, rear anti roll bar bushes, command unit that I got cheap and fixed, Bilstein shocks and eibach springs. Pre cat gutted, and next jobs include sorting minor rust issues out and fitting 4 pot brembos and discs from a sport w203 I bought a few months back.
Hey guys, I'm going to change my sporcoupe wheels with an 18''. I have in mind using a 8,5'' front and 9,5'' rear, would it be fine? I don't want to order them and have rubering issues, Have someone used this set and with what ET?
Hi All,
I've just picked up a 2002 C240 Avantgarde in spectacular condition, a shedload of extras, FSH and only 78k miles. Mileage appears genuine after checking MOT history.
It hasn't been used much for a few years and needs a couple of cosmetic jobs e.g. alloys need refurbing and some minor rust just starting around wheelarches.
I'm replacing brake discs and pads as a matter of course (I think Brembo parts are OK?) and likely tyres as they have some surface cracks but otherwise it appears to have no faults.
Nothing showing on the OBD2 history either.
I gave both the interior and exterior a good clean but it didn't really need it. I steam cleaned the interior but my cloths were hardly marked.
So a couple of Q's if I may.
Brembo discs and pads OK? A full set F/R is £200.
Should I stick with the same tyres as fitted which I think are Bridgestone?

should be fine as i looked up my vin to see what was ordered on my coupe when it was delivered to Australia & it had 19inch AMG spoke wheels originally.
Bought this last month and I am loving it so far. 18x8.5" +35mm (15mm spacers in rear), H&R lowering springs, slotted and drilled rotors, HID headlights, and upgraded sound system.

Early Christmas present from the wife, '05 C180k Elegance, with 40,000 miles (65000kms) on it. Never pictured myself in one, but won't be able to go back after driving it for the past few days.
