First off im new to this forum and new to the Mercedes world! I love what you guys have started here!I have a quick questions about the fitment of a 2007 C230 seats. Im trying to switch over to black interior and I found a nice set of 2005 C230 seats on craigslist. I was just wondering if they would fit properly on my 07'? Thanks in advance.

Not so fast. The 2007s have active headrests that the 2005s do not have. I think this doesn't involve any electronics, but I can't be sure and you need to be.

Im just worried about the tracks. What exactly are are Active Headrest? I need to know if the back seats will fit as well?

They protect against whiplash. They are very different than the headrests in the 2005s and 2006s.

As far as I can tell, they're just spring-loaded, so no electronics involved.

It's called Neck-Pro and there are electronics involved. The front seats will fit, but there may be a SRS warning that you won't be able to get rid of. Neck-Pro was a feature starting MY2006 cars.

Back seats should fit unless the car or donor seats had the split folding rear seat option. I'm not certain as to what is different with and without the option as far as supports/mouting.
