I wonder if the additional fans and sensors can be installed. And for the headlights, I could probably install Bi-Xenons myself. From what I've read it is relatively easy.

Does the W203 have the same paint with ceramic flecks in it to prevent scratches like the w204's?
South African Benz leather hold up perfectly - made for a hot sunny climate. Thermotronic retrofit is not on - big changes to ducting etc & 10 stepper motors.

The Ceramiclear should be on all cars from about March 2004 - so called 2004.5 cars in the US.

Pros:

-Interior set-up. I came from a 98 E320 and was worried about the interior size at first. In fact it is more comfortable as it feels cozy and all controls are extremely intuitive. I love the solid feel yet comfort of being in the driver's seat.
-Driver's seat memory. A must have in my family as my wife is 5'1" and I'm 5'11". It works great and I love how the mirrors adjust as well.
-Automatic functions: autodimming mirrors, automatic headlights, rain sensing wipers.
-Digital message center is great, love the calculators and have confidence in the miles remaining feature0
-Exterior styling is very 'Benz', unlike the W204 (IMO)

Cons:

-Throttle response and manual shifting lag and seem delayed. I have reset the throttle and it does adapt to me somewhat, but it still takes an instant for the throttle to kick in. Shifting gears is taking an entire second which somewhat negates the whole point of being able to manually shift.
-Automatic climate control isn't really automatic. Will try a reset so here is hoping.
-Engine noise. There were times when I forgot if my E320 was on or not, and it was 10 years old. When idling there is a small amount of engine noise that comes through. A minor complaint.
-No full size spare... wtf it is a Mercedes?
-NO PHONE PREWIRING!!!
-Cheap plastic looking interior parts (shift knob, front vents, no wood trim on the glove compartment)
-No seat moving programming for easy exit. The steering wheel goes up why not the seat height?

I'm very excited about installing a phone kit and COMAND unit. Perhaps if my hobby budget can take the heat I will be able to retrofit heated seats. In my dreams it would be retrofitting heated/cooled seats and headlight washers/OEM bixenons.

I know DEPO makes LED tail lights that look like regular W203 lights (and not S class) but I can only find them on the Malaysian version of ebay so far.

Pros:
Secure ride.
Rear headrest collapse button. I have scared so many friends with that. Bwahahaha.

Cons:
DEAR GOD. Does that noisy, ticking purge valve bother ya'll, or does it bother ya'll? haha.

What clicking noise? I've never heard of this before, what causes it?

Trey you fail at reading. The clicking purge valve that Laneshift mentioned is under the hood.

SA cars do not suffer from purge valve ticking. I must look into how they are mounted.
