HELP: W203 (C200 '04) Dashboard and Steering wheel functions not working
I started the car today to find dashboard not lighting up (totally dead, no rev counter, speedo, etc) also there is no response from all the control buttons on the steering wheel (no horn, radio controls, etc).
Has anyone else experienced this? What could it be? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, main car and need to be on the road!
thanks
Jig

Sorry, car has only done about 40k and starts and drives fine, just that there is no dash and npo response from the steering wheel.
Thanks for the fuse map, ive checked the 42 fuse for cluster lighting and it is fine!
Any ideas?

There has to be some sort of triggering factor. Next time it happens, make a note of your surroundings.
Has the car been parked outside for a while?
Does it happen only when its cold/hot outside?
Has it been raining and is the car wet?
This sounds like some sort of loose connection somewhere or could be indicative of a much larger electrical problem.
I wouldn't just dismiss it as "weird and annoying".
