For dimsumboi - Transmission going into limp
Sorry - your thread won't let me post a reply
Restarting is the best way. There are other workarounds some of which work & others don't. Please scan the car for any stored codes - you will need a scanner that scans transmission codes. Check the fluid level - as e1000 states you are triggering limp mode. This often sorts itself out with a few reboots. Low fluid level causes 99% of transmission problems.
If you can find no faults then you will need to have the TCU flashed with the latest software. In rare occasions the 7G has had valve body problems but this usually shows up as poor change quality first. Good luck
