Foglights? Luxury -> AMG bumper?

Foglights? Luxury -> AMG bumper?
Looking to put an AMG style bumper on my 05 4Matic. Does anyone know how my existing fogs will align with the AMG bumper-or not align I guess. Anyone ever do this switch before?

i disagree on that one...it depends on which amg bumper you get...there are two different yet the same amg bumpers available. The one i have - i was able to put my frosty's on until i got a pair of clear ones... SO when you get the bumper PM me and i can tell you whether you need new fogs or will the old ones fit...check my album for pics of the clear fogs from lux in the amg bumper...direct fit

he has a 2005 C240 4-Matic, that means he has the luxury bumper and fogs. They are absolutely not the same shape.
C240:
2005+ C230 Sport/C350 Sport
You're right, there are 2 bumpers, one is from the C32 and the other from the 2005+ sport sedans. Although they look almost identical, they are slightly different. Both of them however, use the same oval AMG style fog lights from above. I guess you could force the luxury fog lights until you get the AMG fog housings but I don't think the mesh would fit correctly at that point.
C240:

OK so it looks like the actual placement of the lights are the same, and the AMG or sport bumper will fit with the Lux lights on no problem. Thats really what I was worried about. One more question, they say you should install the bumper, then paint-is this true?

Yup...thats what i was saying...that the mounting brackets are the same and fitment will be the same.
However the problem is the mesh...now what i did i actually had a shop make me new meshes to go over the fogs...too many cases of rocks cracking the lenses...this way thay are protected at all times
